Swan's Sinclair goals
Possibly the easiest 5 goals any fringe player has had for a long time. Very simple- player upfield kicks to your general area, watch the ball, put yourself in position and take an easy mark, kick goal. Our players couldn't even read where the ball was going- am I missing something here.

It was embarrassing and nauseating to see that absolute asshat kick a bag. Typical St Kilda, making a peanut look good.

The one where he was left in a one on one in the goal square against Montagna made me want to throw up.

Re: Swan's Sinclair goals
Was watching on TV. When Roo kicked his running in goal, l told my wife that the Swans would kick a goal within 10 seconds of the restart.
9 seconds after the centre bounce, Sinclair took an uncontested mark 40 metres out. The time it took for the Swans to kick that goal was 9 seconds plus however long the ball was in the air.
It was as easy, and predictable, as that.

Reminiscent of the day Fitzy kicked 5 at Etihad against us. That one game allows him to fool people into believing he was AFL standard.Sainternist wrote:It was embarrassing and nauseating to see that absolute asshat kick a bag. Typical St Kilda, making a peanut look good.
More painful was Shane Ellen with 5 in the 97 GF. He kicked 11 goals in his other 64 very ordinary games.. and 5 on us in a GF.

Who was Fitzy again?George27 wrote:Reminiscent of the day Fitzy kicked 5 at Etihad against us. That one game allows him to fool people into believing he was AFL standard.

Shane Ellen's bag still gives me nightmares. Probably just as well Jarman bettered his goal tally. But that complete novice had just 3 goals in his career and none of those even kicked in 1997 before that grand final.
Typical bloody St.Kilda!!

Wouldn't mind him in our forward line kicking goals!

Re: Swan's Sinclair goals
Anyone else remember Daniel Metropolis for the Weagles? Kicked 6 goals on debut (4 of them came from his first 4 kicks of AFL football). He ended his career with fewer than 50 goals, played around 100 odd games. Only St.Kilda could allow this to happen.
But he wouldn't kick goals for us, as he is an absolute cabbage. I bet you any money he never kicks 5 or more goals in his career again. Would much prefer to have Tim Membrey on our side.Bernard Shakey wrote:Wouldn't mind him in our forward line kicking goals!

Re: Swan's Sinclair goals
The moment he walked through the doors at Seaford, he would contract that mysterious virusBernard Shakey wrote:Wouldn't mind him in our forward line kicking goals!
called diplí órasi
which is Greek for "double vision".
Players with ball in hand cannot see clearly, so they kick to Rooey's feet, over a guy's head,
pick out an opponent on his own,
and worst of all, they miss set shots for goal.
This virus has no known cure and is contracted when wearing Red White and Black for the first time.
