Longer or Hickey , if he comes up

Acres for Gilbert, inj

Webster for Dmac who i would like to see play forward one day

Weller for Battle

Got a feeling Dunstan might come in after good form in twos but who for ?

Does Marshall come in and rest Roo for next two interstae trips ?

Big night at the selection table coming up and can Richo bring in a plan B and C when things look wrong, like the first quarter against Bombers although Hickey couldnt be replaced which was a big part of the problem i feel. It was the Tigers game in Reverse just Bombers didn't kick straight in first half .

for mine:

Webster - Straight in has been sorely missed
Acres - straight in VFL form
Dunstan - straight in VFL form
Longer - if fit
Marhsall - consider given form and recent elevation / saints 'press'

not sure who comes out tho...

gilbo injured?
hickey - shame as yes he had a poor game but longer had a few poor ones as well and was given time to find form
Dmac - shame again but at the moment is not keeping pace with the game
Lonie - just dont rate him. actually really starting to dislike him as a player. He is poor in front of goal (which is what he is employed to do) and his 'pressure acts' are overrated for mine. Bad recruiting decision right there.
Battle - maybe a swap out for marshall but i would prefer to give him another crack...then again i reckon marshall may offer more against the swans

Yeah looks like he's getting a gig, if so, for a 'project player' he has done extremely well to demand a spot!!!!!

If it happens, well done young fella, go well!!!!!

Daniel Cherny from the Age:

It's my understanding Rowan Marshall will be named for St Kilda tonight. Billy Longer back in for Tom Hickey too among other changes.

The team was okay for a half so that doesnt surprise me.....the change

We missed critical goals
Our ruckman gave up when things went against him....why wasn't he blocking Daniher in the square so he couldn't run at the ball....why does he drop his head after mistakes and leak poor body language to the entire team...not good enough.
Josh Battle is no Tim Membry
Roos body cannot cope with three six day breaks.
We still lack midfield class with elite foot skills.

Blah blah blah, boys were really flat after the game, very disappointed. Sydney are a well coached team and we got beaten in every facet.

I like Tony's insights but I don't want to be given false optimism before the game or platitudes after a loss.

Problem was Sydney played well and to their standard.

Going back to this thread, changes for next week....
Out... Lonie. Acres. Steele. Newnes had a shocker, as did Jack Steven. well I feel like dropping half the team, but we will have to be guided by who can come in, beside Membery. Armo is a couple of weeks off. Perhaps Mav. Some of the better Sandy players would not be ready, such as Battle and a couple of the rookies.
