The Coaches night of the year-

Post: # 1681110Post saintbrat »

Dinner at Gill's
will it be BBQ or Steak or pasta bake?

is it just to top up Gill's wine cellar?

What should Richo be bringing to the discussion?

Was it bring a plate night?

Richo should bring up umpiring and ask why is there no consistency in
- the holding the ball rule,
- the deliberate rule,
- the arm chopping rule,
- the blocking rule,
- the holding off the ball rule,
- why in inconclusive video reviews would the umpires proxy decision be overturned,
- what should happen when the countdown clock hits zero when it is visible/invisible
etc. etc. etc. etc.

But much more productive would be to have dinner with the CEO's.
Would love Finnis to ask
- why don't we have a fair draw?
- why is the fixturing full of cosy little deals (ANZAC day, QB, GF, Mothers day, Easter Fri/Mon etc.)?
- why don't all teams get a fair share of live telecasts?
- why doesn't he fix the disgraceful Docklands deal where it takes 30,000 to break even?
- how is it fair that certain interstate clubs operate under a different set of guidelines?
- what is the long term vision for the number of teams and their geographical distribution?
... and that's just while eating the entrée!

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

There'll be a drinking game, called "The RIcho"

Every time AR utters the word "positive", you have to skol your drink.
Leave your car at Gil's, call a cab or an Uber,
don't be drinkin n drivin now...

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤🤍🖤 and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

I don't think gill could answer any of those first questions but the answer to most of the second lot is - money.
