Does some very good things which make me applaud and cheer
Does some very bad things which make me hold my head in disbelief
Love him in the relief ruck role

He reminds me of Captain Caveman.

He runs through the middle smashing bashing his way through. Love the way he is hard at it. Still butchers it on occasion.
Been in the saints best this year.

With Koby getting a week for a tackle on a Giant (who had the ball the whole time)
That ex-Giant has to go for a week. Gilbo had released the ball, McC should have released him too

Brave game by the Gilbo, and I changed my mind about him a few games ago, he is surely one of our most valuable warriors
and despite some errors, he digs deep and just gives massive efforts, like the Terminator

amazes me how it took some of our supporters so long to see the potential in Gilbo. Poor judges ?

Don't think any one failed to see "the potential" in Gilbo - he was a star back in the 08-11 era

the criticism has always been that he produced below his potential in the 2012-16 era. He was serviceable for much of that time with the odd good game and stinkers too.

If anything, his performance in 2017 really highlights that because he's been sooooo much better

the calls for his expulsion were coming from a few on here when it was plain to see he had the potential to do better, it wasn't just critisism...some wanted him traded. to me it was simply poor judgement , even at his worst Gilbo tried 110% and produced better than some who didn't have the finger pointed at them..he was a whipping boy. If you critisise a player who plainly can't cut the mustard I get that. Some poor judges on here.

He is a much better player when he does not have to man up on a 200cm gorilla because we didn't have tall defenders.
Brown and Carlilse have released Gilbo to play at his best.

yes, that doesn't mean he deserved the crap that he got previously,he wasn't as bad as some were making out, it's all about seeing something in a player.

But he's not a junior player... he wasn't there to build to his potential, he was there to produce like he was then and he is now week after week.

The standard for senior established players is higher then younger more inexperienced ones.

I can't speak for every person critical of Gilbo over the journey but I got frustrated with him because he underperformed based on what I imagine the club paid and expected of him. And if a senior player underperforms over a sustained period then what's the point of playing him!!!!

Luckily however, the club is a much better judge of these things then I am. Wouldn't have cut him but at the right price I would have traded him by now and I'm really glad he's proved me wrong.

It was never about not rating him though... any body could see that he has talent in spades

hmmm not everyone it seems and yes it appears the club is a better judge than a few on here. For the record I was on the clubs side.

Are we talking of the flight home?

? Not normally 1st Class available on Domestic Services. Was there a different plane substituted on the route?

Not sure what 1st class you are comparing it too...but first class it is not unless you look at Domestic USA 1st Class (which is really just business)

For Domestic Business yes is excellent.

For Domestic Business yes is excellent.
Etihad business class to Europe, horizontal flat bed all the way.
Sleep most of the way.
But getting upgraded to first class on the outward leg to Abu Dhabi and then from Europe to Abu Dhabi, brilliant.
Separate bed, sheets and pyjamas.
Pity I was asleep for most of it.
Sigh !

Everyone knows I used to bake Gilbo regularly.
I bagged Gilbo the way Pauline Hanson bags the Muslims.
For different reasons

Some wise old sage on here, said Gilbo is now helped out by our Twin Towers down back
so this year he's delivered, and in spades. Quite correct.

Gilbo is a tough never-say-die warrior who will never give an inch.

For that reason I try and get the legs during the day when I can. Off to London next April in Singapore Suites for only $172 for the two of us. :D Will overnight in SIN at a hotel so we can maximize the enjoyment of each flight....not to mention the Krug ;)
