Umps
I thought we got a good run last night - as a saints fan that always feels a bit weird . Like what's going on here ? Didn't actually win the free kick count by much in the end but I still think we had the rub of the green and I definately think that effects the way a team plays, the scoring throughout the game and ultimately the result.

Amazing how we didn't give away one blocking free this week. Last week was a joke.saintspremiers wrote:CURLY just tweeted:

Re: Umps
We got a good run except in the last quarter. Most of the goals the Roos clawed back near the end had a helpful umpiring decision on the way.

Re: Umps
I feel the umps and the commentators basically cr*p over the game much of the time.
Do we have eleven umps per game now? It's a joke. Add the match review panel and tribunal.
Last it was the upstairs ump's turn. Using what should be for howlers, into spectacle ruining conjecture.

St Kilda 19 free for, Norf 17 frees for.
We get flogged by the umpires most weeks so that when we roughly break even we think we must have done way over the top.
It was good to umpire Fisher in action.
Maybe the AFL included him to stop the other two umpires from cheating against us.

Re: Umps
There is an emergency AFL commission hearing called for this afternoon.
They want to know why the umpires went against AFL instruction to cheat against SKilda.
All umpires from last nights match will be immediately suspended.
By this time tomorrow saintsational's Curly Sue will have changed his mind and written a scathing report on the cheating maggots from Friday nights match.

And both were kick's by Jack Billings. He does kick "low". I could see the first one was touched as the fingers were bent back, but I could see nothing on the second except that the hand was 'near" the ball. It might be just my eyesight. What did other see?fugazi wrote:Yep agree with that.

Re: Umps
The umpiring was very much in our favour, nearly all of the 50/50 calls went out way. I would say we had a better run this week then Adelaide had last week. Funny though the posters who were up in arms about cheating umpires last week haven't said a peep this week.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Re: Umps
I didn't scream at the telly over ump calls last night, for the second time this year.
The other game with good umpiring was down in Tassy
For those of you wondering why I didn't get to the game,
it would prove very costly for tickets as well as plane fare from Perth

Got shafted on the 50's though, there were about 2 occasions were we should have gotten them but didn't, while they got a couple

Goldstein is a jammy prick - always seems to get a lot of free kicks yet somehow never gives any away despite using his elbow/forearm to push the opposing ruckman in the back
