Pressure is not a game plan

Post: # 1676460Post Zed »

The basic premise that we will play finals and ultimately win a flag because we have 22 guys who try harder and are more desperate than the oppositions 22 guys is being shown up for the crock that it really is. As soon as the oppo match our pressure, our game style falls apart.

And because we generally have recruited guys that either matured early and hit their peak in the under 16 and 18s or had limited upside left in them , supplemented by mature age guys who generally weren't good enough to hold down a regular spot and one of the more successful clubs, we have no on field flair to fall back on to get us Into a winning position.

We need a new game plan, some new team rules, and lots more players that can hit a target by foot.

Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

Pressure + s*** skills will not beat pressure + good skills.
This is the AFL - every side tries hard.

In any case - we arent even good at pressure. We are probably the worst side in the AFL for tackling technique and tackling pressure. We are easy to play against.

it seems to work against teams that are garbage
Carlscum
The Filth
Lions
Got lucky against Giants
Hawks have been up n down and their complacency played into our hands
so we got in front and our confidence improved our skills, no fumbling, no panic

Get ready for more pain against Norf, who killed the Crows, then the Tigers,
and all the other teams who know that if they just do like Swans, Bulldogs and Crows

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤🤍🖤 and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
Remember one of the 10 Commandments : Thou shalt have no other team before thee
