Knowing the number of players wanting to return to Melbourne from interstate clubs and our strong position for next draft, i want to get other sainters opinions on potential fair trades
lot of people here seem to be anti Paddy so what if we did a straight swap with lions for schache, would give Paddy the game time he wants and return schache to melb which he desires, both statistically almost the same who woud be better in the end is a gamble but could solve a problem as many believe Paddy will walk out on us for lack of opportunity.
Add to the deal, Rockliff straight swat with Armitage, i know rocky is doing better but both have very similar stats records, throw Gilbo in as gravy.

Paddy seems to have settled into Melbourne life,
I think he's going out with one of the young Brownless daughters (as of last year anyway)

Looks good on paper but I think Paddy is an untouchable, I also think the club will be happy to get Kelly over the line this year and perhaps one other trade. They missed the boat a couple of years ago not trading Armitage to Richmond when they were chasing him. I for one have never rated Armitage as highly as others, the one good year he had the team finished dead last. That says it all for me, good battler but definitely not a match winner.

True SR. I doubt Brisbane would want him at this stage of his career, especially after his injury woes this year. His value in the trade market would be fairly low at this point, IMHO.

Whitfield will take the Hawks pick or ours plus a second round pick.
Rockliff is a free agent so why swap players?
If you could do those deals you make the Hawks pick trade look like a loss in comparison.

yep, but I can still be an Ol Mate.
