I know there is a lot of man love for Mav (and lady love) but I think his role needs to be made clear.
There is only room for one glamour boy in the fwd line and that is Billings. We can't have two blokes who are outside goal kickers.
Mav needs to stop kidding himself he is a glamour boy and go back to being a hard case blue collar worker who puts real pressure on the opposition

I don't mean ' pressure acts', I mean real physical pressure.
Spot on. He was put in the leadership team for that blue collar work rate.
He and Wright should focus on the dirty work, physical pressure aspect and leave the classy outside work to gresh and JB!

Bruce got 4 goals, 8 marks, 11 disposals, and was benched late in 3rd qtr-
ostensibly to save him for Crows (5 day break)
Gilbee made a crazy comment:
“Josh Bruce was without doubt our best player on the ground,” Gilbee told saints.com.au.

Oh boy what's in Lindsay's Gatorade bottle? A bit of rum or brandy?
Minch got a lot more of the ball, stodgy Dunny got 30, others got over 25, Freezer got 25

I want what Gilbee's having

I guess they were planning to rest Rooey due to knee, they wanted Bwoose to do something better than his other 2 games
when he was sulking

Geeeez, the amount of negativity on here after a loss or two and positively after a win or two is amazing. But it's always the way.

When everyone's negative - it's time to buy! GO SAINTS!

After reading these 3 pages i have no idea who im meant to tip.

If Mav gets his shiz together - Im excited!
If Bruce can just have a damn blinder.. Im excited-er
Added by the blue print your all discussing to be followed Im joining the 'it can be done' team.

If we play at our best, it absolutely can be done. If we play like the last two weeks we will get demolished.

Jenkins and Walker shouldn't kick 10 goals between them like round 11 last year, and Gears should do a number on Betts again.

The Crows' backline is a whole lot better than Bluescum, but look at what Blues did to our "bomb it in to square"
brilliant tactic.
Docherty just kept marking everything.
If it wasn't for Billings getting 5 biggies, in defiance of everything he's ever done in the past...
I mean, normally he would just pass those off, and if he had a shot, it would be wide.
Normally he'd score 2.3 or similar.

Anyways...Crows will stitch Bwoose up, he'll be lucky to get 6 possies.
Paddy will be outmarked and worked over.
Membrey will probably get Talia,
because Paddy and Bwoose are so far down on form,
a small back pocket could take them on.

Here's my prediction: 1st qtr Crows lead by 4 goals
half-time, 7 goal lead
Final score- 60+ points margin

Saints to score under 7 goals for the game.

That same old fashioned mongrel we saw against carlton..
I know its there

I however am nervous to see whats in the coach's box this weekend more so.

Surely positivity has to accompanied by the view of a realistic chance of winning? Following on from the teams most recent form against the Swans & Dogs and our away form people are allowed to be less than confident of winning the toughest away game in the comp. We really arent that good so anything less than a 10 goal loss is a bonus.

I wasn't confident before, but the Pizza has won me over to the "We Can Win" team !

I will have a pizza as well, a nice Tandoori one, and I won't wear my Saints polo, because we've lost every time I wore it,
and we have won the 5 times I didn't wear it!

All the planets have lined up. Bwoose is back, we've had a rest, the lads are chomping at the bit, they are on a mission,
we will win by 14 points!

I'm always confident until we lose, then after not long, the confidence starts building for the following game, but, hey, maybe that's me, I'm just a very confident individual!!!!!

You are only just bringing this up now?
This polo is a concern.

I must confess that I was travelling Asia our first 2 games. I had no idea the results.
The Brisbane game i was able to get live updates - thank you wifi.
The cats, swans and bulldogs games i all missed due to weddings and parties and couldn't watch the game til hours after the fact.

In contrast to your polo my attention appears to be the mojo.

I shall be watching live Friday guys - we can all relax now.

Looking forward to getting Another glimpse of life after Reiwoldt on Friday night. McCartin, Membrey and Bruce together up forward . None have really really been in sparkling form but together they just might bring out the best in each other.

Turnovers will be the key again. If we butcher the ball then expect that Eddie Betts and Jenkins will get a few gifts over the back.
