Nothing changed on the weekend.
Like against tanti-boy's mob, we went in against the Swines with little margin for error in the run n' spread department. Then early on we added Newnes to Jimmy W.
Margin for error exposed. Margin for error goneski. Match goneski.Our ability to run with, and hence to curtail the enemies runners is where we live or die, win or lose as a team. Correlates perfectly with the games we've won or lost. (Except against tanti-boy, but we got lucky there, when he lost the plot for the last quarter.
)When we are short-on for runners, our remaining runners tend to tire sometime between the middle of the third and middle of the final quarters. That's when we get overrun. (C/f the Wogans game, where we had the balance right, and we ended up... overrunning them.)
Sure, our terrible delivery (which kept the Swines in the game in the first half) is also an issue.
As is our forwards close-bonding and man-love for each other. Now don't get me wrong this is a wondrous and very beautiful thing. But. Not all the bloody time in the forward line!!!
Guys! Some separation is needed!!! If you sooooo love your mate/s that much... how's about dragging an opponent, or two... away from them...? It's not rocket science.We are good enough to steal this year's flag. Fix those three issues, and even before we set up our pending run of flags at this years' trade/draft period... we won't need to 'steal' the flag.
