he did get 28 for the Zebs, although he was helped by the surface being horrible 2nd class,
so everyone else was freakin slow as well.
Like when we got McGough from the FIlth, he was only ever good as a mud-runner.
He got BOG on Anzac Day as a teenager but it was a filthy wet day.

So Dunstan comes in, and gets his usual 14 disposals, which keeps his godfather happy,
and how the hell does Koby come back in.
X
Stevens' presence in the midfield has been like putting nitro in a drag car, makes a massive difference.

Our midfield fell away with Geelong, but funny, Koby comes in and suddenly our mids are like Hawthorn of 2015
I think the improvement in the midfield gas been more than just Kobe.
Ross, Steele and Steven with help from Acres and Sinclair is a lot of the reason.
Con Gorozidis put it best when he said that
Dunstan and Armo can't work with Steele, Stevens, Ross.

Love Armo, but really, ongoing injuries continue to affect his game, and Dunstan...well, I said it all above.
Now we have a lot more accuracy and much better decision making.
Can't afford to go backwards. I know Swans only won one, but we play them soon and we know how good their midfield was/is
and we need out BEST midfield combination being together consistently

Really hope the coach doesn't just bring in slow as treacle Dunstan for Koby. Be brave - pick someone with zing, aggression and speed!!!

Bit stiff all considering.. Stevens was looking very good, think he will be straight back in the next week regardless of who replaces him. Don't believe the club would think there was any lack of discipline.. he deserves to come back straight in if we don't challenge

Cannot remember a player ever being reported, and suspended AND recieving a free kick.

As my Granny used to say, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

The AFL are clearly dyslexic.

The fact he got a free kick should be enough to challenge this confusing decision on a technicality. I think there is a good chance that Koby will get off if it is taken further. As clear as mud is this laughable MRP.

I reckon Stevens felt he had to tackle extra, extra fiercely to get rewarded. Unfortauntely, he went outside the tules in doing so.
Yep.

That's what I thought particularly after Geary's tackle on Paton. Not sure if that was before or after the tackle laid by Stevens.

The AFL need to review the whole issue around tackling if they are going to fix this, but they won't.

And his right hand was free - holding the ball. He chose to keep hold of the ball rather than do what anyone else would do, protect his fall with his free arm and hand. If both arms are held, the player cannot do this. That's the line. That's why they should contest.

If he misses then its not a bad game to miss - Carlton

Likely Dunstan will come in - hopefully fired up - and then replaced again for a refreshed Stevens to take on the Swans

The umpire has to make a split second decision from one angle at normal speed. The MRP looks multiple times from multiple angles in slow motion and normal speed. I would say the umpire got it wrong. It happens.

From this angle it probably was a bit rough

Fair point but I think a fine was more appropriate in this case.

Facebook is in meltdown mode with supporters of all teams lamenting this shocking decision. Taking everything into account I believe Stevens should definitely challenge but does the club take the risk of him missing games against Carlton AND Bulldogs?

Whilst we're at it, if Buddy jumper punch was insufficient force (which I'm fine with) then how is Jack Steven fined for touching his knee onto the skin of a players thigh?

Well, they paid several free kicks against us for ruffling Giants' players jumpers, so we should have known the umpires were targeting contact. Jack should have passed to Wing Defence and avoided the unpleasantness altogether.

Free kick paid so simply can'
t be a report, low instead of medium impact, challenge I say.

Was that the little tap that Wank Carey and Ling were crapping on about?
At the supermarket checkout, I bumped harder into an old lady, went "geez, Sorry!"
She was all good with it FFS
