Also excellent or good
Sinclair, Longer, Stevens, Steel, Newnes, Membrey, Webster

Did their job
Minchington, Wright, Montagna, Brown, Geary, Gilbert

Not so great
Bruce, Riewoldt, Carlisle

Thought Carlisle was quite good
Also thought Bruce worked really hard all game without a lot of reward... it was a tough night for all our marking forwards

Joyful & Memorable Team focus - Yeeeaa !

Post: # 1667422Post the dome »

Early on our Sainters showed they were beautifully focused. Kicking to team-mates was v. good.
Picking out individuals for a sec I was also impressed with Longer's sheer effort all night.
Robbo, Ross, Gilbe, Acers, Gresh & a whole stack more were excellent.
I loved seeing the joy displayed by fellow Sainters @ the Dome last night.
More great development last night. The players must be feeling they are doing plenty right.
At times during that 4th. Qrt I could barely process how the players were bringing such a ramped up effort to their already impressive play during that 4th & deciding quarter.
There was some serious determination @ play during that 4th. Quarter/ very encouraging.

Loving those Sainters :D

Ross
Roberton
Steven
Gilbert
Acres

But Sinclair, Longer, Geary all stiffed. Thought it was Geary's best game as skipper - inspirational endeavour.

Gets to a lot of contests... lays a few bumps and tackles, but he's very good at get a few taps forward, or hand to a contest etc.
I agree with this

Steven - there all day in a super effort, and delivered the sealer.
Roberton - another who was there from the start keeping us in the contest
Billings - another who was there from the start keeping us in the contest
Acres - handy early, then brilliant when the game had to be won.
Longer - just kept jumping and his ruck work was at its best when the game was being won

The contesting of Gilbert should be recognised but went for Longer because Longer contributed to the win at the end.
