Has anyone in the history of the game looked as damaging as this guy with ball in hand?

Slight hyperbole there! :P

Nevertheless, very exciting especially near goals.
Hope he has the tools to also go into the midfield (in time).

That C Judd guy was quite handy as well with ball in hand, but yes his career so far has been pleasing.

I'll take that any day of the week. However, I have no doubt he will be able to run through midfield with devastating effect when he builds the tank. Something Betts can't do. He's a genius with the ball in hand, there is something special about this kid.

He's got tricks, like a lot of small forwards... if he has the athletic ability to go through the middle, he will elevate.

He's too good a player to be mainly a small forward.

I want to see him at the clearances more. He and Acres.

There's a certain sameness between Ross, Armo, Dunstan and Steele. All good, solid in-and-under players who don't offer so much outside.

He looks like our best decision maker. Every time he gets the ball I just feel that he will take the right option. I'd like to know what his disposal efficiency has been across his career so far. Can't remember him missing too many targets.

The proverbial above our other small forward options again confirmed today

Now to advance Freeman and Long in support

I do not categorise Billings as a small forward

He should have snagged that one on the run from 50 with the open goalsquare.

He is our best weapon. By weapon, I mean a player who consistently and reliably hurts the opposition. He is our best in that regard. It won't be long until he gets 20 touches a game and then 30 and he will, at that point, be dominant.

I agree regards when he regularly gets 20-30 possessions. I compared his numbers to Abblets first two seasons. I hope Gresham has the deep desire to be a champion because they stack up so far

This

It is almost like he has already seen his 4 options and decided what to do before he even takes possession.

The most damaging I ever saw with ball in hand was a guy called Tony Lockett.
Mark it down for another GOAL.

The really exciting moment was when he was at the contest on the half-back line, got it and used a burst of pace and maneuverability to leave pies players behind and get into clear space. THAT is what we are hoping he can do onball regularly. That little burst pace and creativity is what we need more of in the middle to open things up and get on the attack.

Still seems to be struggling with his tank and his stocky little legs that don't cover the ground in the most efficient fashion. You'd just love him to get more of it because he always looks likely with it. But gives you some hope that we could get a blue ribbon midfielder together if the pieces keep evolving.

He is just a joy to watch. Even when he shanked the kick for goal I was happy he had taken it on. My kids love him. Will be an all around ripper if he keeps on this trajectory ...
