Geary did not play in the middle until after ht

We had no defensive spread in the midfield (missed Jack S defensive pressure)

He can cover the ground unlike some of other mids

How did we win?

Also, why was Geary starting in at some of the centre bounces?
I believe it was because he was tagging Zorko
Zorko got a lazy 26 possessions, so you'd have to question the point of tagging him. We have no defensive mids, or at least, I haven't seen them this year.
Zorko regularly pulls big numbers and can be damaging with them. I thought it was a decent move and pretty well executed.
That's true...he was at his most damaging during the third, when this move was executed. Although I don't know how long Geary was there. Rockliff was the centre clearance monster.

Poor kicking aside, we are not as bad as some despair we are. Many more scores from similar possession numbers, a pretty even spread of possessions with some notable mentions excepted - and yes Roo is still our best player - should we b surprised? Yes it looks as tho Billings will not be the star we had hoped and Paddy perhaps as well but we have many good players as last season showed. A star or two to replace Roo and Monty will hopefully be unearthed eventually.
We should have beaten The weagles also so imagine how crap they must be!

Fox commentators must have been wrong then because they called the match up very early in the game.

Rose coloured glasses.

Joey's effort in touching ball in the ground was a disgrace.

Mav also going for a few marks one handed.

Gilbo, Webster and Roberton taking on 2-3 players before trying to give off.

Very selfish and undiciplined.

We have major issues and can't see us notching up more than 5-7 wins.

Have to be realistic.

This Harlem Globetrotter crap concerns me...I missed the West Coast game, but we pulled the same stunts against the Dees (on top of not wanting to get our heads over the ball). I thought Richo was instilling the basics? If he has, we've now got ahead of ourselves...we always needed an extremely disciplined year to see any improvement this season, but I'm seeing a bunch of guys that look like they reckon they've earned a finals spot already.

Stop the tears fellows.

A win is a win is a win.

Tonight I will go to bed happy after a saints game for the first time this year.

You are privileged to have the opportunity to watch a champion in action.

Roo is the greatest even on one leg.

Form is a confidence thing and it can turn on a penny.
We seriously missed Jack S today as he is our best clearance player.
We are not a top four team and will have fluctuations in form but it can be turned around.
Hopefully the win will help to get the season started and we play much better next week.

Yep, we won't play finals.

Take Roo out of that game and we get beaten, at home, by a bunch of (albeit good), kids

On the other hand if roo had played against the eages we win, and take Gawn ot of the dees and we would be sittingretty on 4 wins ,zero losses.

But if my dead aunt had had balls she would be my very dead uncle.
