Farewell game v Tiges and that is it.
yes, for the sake of development.
Roo can take 8 or 9 marks in a game, but the team is constantly worried about
pleasing him and honouring his leads. They will never ever learn to be creative and be inventive
in the F50.
They need to learn to hit a lead, rather than the current instinct of "Rooey or he'll get mad".

Resting him this weekend, in my opinion, will show a whole new team that should play a better brand of footy.
We might not win, but I have a feeling we will be a whole lot better especially in the forward line.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤🤍🖤 and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
Remember one of the 10 Commandments : Thou shalt have no other team before thee

Injury List 25/7/17

Leigh Montagna (hamstring) indefinite
Nathan Freeman (ankle) 4-6 weeks
Paddy McCartin (concussion) indefinite
Hugh Goddard (foot) season
Nick Coughlan (hamstring) indefinite
Darren Minchington (ankle) season

Freezer out for 4-6 weeks with ankle :(
“Nathan hurt his ankle in a tackle early in the VFL game on Saturday. He doesn’t require surgery, but is likely to miss the next four to six weeks with the injury,” Cox said.
Joey indefinite
“‘Joey’ suffered a hamstring strain in the third quarter on Saturday night but it doesn’t require surgery so it will be rehabbed with the diligence that he does everything with,” Cox told saints.com.au on Tuesday night.

“We don’t have an exact return date at this stage but it’s slightly worse than a traditional hamstring.”
Armo building
“‘Armo’ played three quarters in his return game on Saturday and performed well in the midfield,” he said.

“We’ll continue to take a conservative approach with his recovery, training and game volume over the next few weeks as we gradually build him back up to an AFL return.”

Good news on Paddy
But after receiving positive news from a concussion test on Thursday and impressing on the track in recent weeks, Richardson says the 2014 No. 1 pick is ‘really close’ to getting back on the park.

“He was really close this week. He had a test yesterday and he’s heading the right way really quickly,” Richardson said at a press conference on Friday.

“He’s trained really well, his running has really improved; he’s been able to get a lot of work in, so it’s quite exciting where he’s at physically.

“We’re really hopeful that he’ll be back next week.”

Armo in doubt
TOUGH St Kilda onballer David Armitage could miss his second straight week after experiencing groin soreness in his comeback from two operations.

Armitage, 29, came back through the VFL two weekends ago and played 60 minutes of game time before sitting out the last quarter, instead doing extra running.

The plan had been for the midfielder to play around 80 minutes last weekend but he wasn't considered fit.

He faces a test at training on Thursday before a decision is made on whether he lines up for Sandringham against Casey at Trevor Barker Oval on Saturday afternoon.
