We really do need one or two elite level players, that can run for a good five years.
Much will depend on how the list develops in 2017.

Time to start those bicep curls and bench presses that kitchen sink needs a massive throw in Fyfes direction...saints are a much better prospect than North or Carlton....we have a better coach and a much better list...there is also the captaincy and the 1.5 million over 5 years...we get Fyfe we go from a 8th-13th team to a top four side....every big loss by freo is one step closer to the saints
Money not a problem
Armo
Dempster
Roo (if he can't go again)
Montagna out
Fyfe in
2018 would be massive

We have too many "inside" midfielders. It'll be interesting to see if we can find some more run somehow - because we need it now with Steven injured.
Fyfe is not the answer - next year, etc... he's not going to provide the run and spread we need to complement what we have.
He'll just replace an inside midfielder - and we'll continue to get slaughtered on the outside.

In the last four years, we've failed to draft any really exciting midfield prospects.
We have one of the worst midfields in the conmp but we have lots of cap space. I'm not saying Fyfe is the answer, but we'd be bonkers not think long and hard about him.

If he is availabe the club will get him no doubt

It's pretty rare, if ever, that a team wins the flag without luring a big gun into their lineup. Or at least, topping up with external talent.

Gee we've drafted and traded in and out so many players that had success, yet people don't want to trade in a champion?
What the?

We lack A grade talent, especially through the middle. Steven is just A Grade ( Disposal lets him down), but after that at this stage we have a lot of good B grade mids. Fyfe is A grade talent, and we sit in the perfect position can watch this year and see he is over his injuries and if he is interested then pounce. Lets hope Ross keep steering the anchor to the bottom.

Simple question. Would Nathan Fyfe improve our list? If you are going to be honest with yourselves, I think you know the answer.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
