The ceiling for Paddy doesn't look amazing.
He is not quick, his athleticism is average and his overhead marking is ordinary.

Most here will lash out in his defence about being only 18 and learning the game, but his raw ability looks very tame from what I have seen.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

Geez, talk about jumping the gun. Unless you've watched the kid closely for a few years I don't think 2 games really qualifies as a big enough sample size, let alone 2 games where the midfield was soundly beaten. There is a myriad of reasons against this.

ps. put a fork in the clips, their done.

Even as a troll you are incredibly clichéd. Try and be a bit more creative. With just ONE game under his belt, Paddy was looking our most dangerous forward. He hit packs hard, almost took several pack marks where he looked totally out of position. He has great recovery and second efforts and can pass like a midfielder. He's a beaut and you are obviously very jealous for whichever team you barrack for. But suck it because he's ours. Hawkins took 4 years to become a real impact player but Paddy is already showing a lot. Its scary the way he is already finding space on leads like a 5 year AFL veteran. Will be ripping it up in a couple of years.

Christ give the kid some time, remember Jonathon Brown's first 20 or 30 games he didn't look like he'd make it either.

If Paddy turns out even half as good as Browny, I'll be more than happy

You obviously dont understand football.

He crashed packs today. That shows balls. TICK
Have you seen the kid kick? He has more balance than anyone ive seen since lockett for size.
He makes well. Hes ability to find space is naturally gifted.
What? Because he hasnt kicked 10 goals in fist 2 games of AFL as an 18yo vs Men??

Wake up.
He will win colemans and own the forwardline for years to come. Great natural ability.

Tall forwards are usually stars by round 2 especially in a poor side. Threads seem to have gone well yesterday. Cant wait for next week when most people new most hated side smashes us. That should ge good.

We were going to pay a billion dollars for Jeremy Cameron who has dropped away and Boyd is having a similar output for $1mill a year. Look at Mc Carthy this year he was looking like just a player until this year, similar traits. Big forwards are very hard to get but also take time.

We were winning in the first half when Paddy was on the ground and the side went to crap in the second half when he put on the red vest - just saying

Probably be okay if the worst skilled side in the league could hit him on a lead. When the ball sailed over his head in the first minutes all I could think of was what a wasted opportunity for him to get the perfect confidence builder for him.

Agree - delist.

Hw has had two games to become Plugger,Buddy and Jono Brown all rolled into one and hasn't done so.

Need toget rid of him sack the coach and change the administration. If we do that a flag for sure in 2016

Maybe i'm not getting it but how could you possibly be starring as forward in a side where the midfield is mediocre and by the time the ball does come in and the way its delivered you are usually outnumbered and crowded in the contest.Tony Lockett he ain't but cut the kid some slack. With all the players in the draft and the assessments done i find it hard to believe that the number one pick doesn't have ability.Watch some of his TAC cup games to appreciate his skills.Don't forget none of last years draft selections are world beaters yet.

18 years of age and "nearly" 2 full games FFS. Delivery into the forward line in both games was deplorable.

He moves well and looks good to me. Happy to have you on board Paddy :D

Exactly right JO.

Very happy we chose the lad with our first pick.

Will take time but will be a beauty.

Don't agree with the OP at all. Paddy looks fantastic, way better at this stage than I thought he'd look. He's very mobile, leads well and gets into the game. Still a bit raw, but in 4 years I think he is going to be amazing. Couldn't ask for more at this stage.

In fact, after he went off yesterday we went to poo really.

I like the way Paddy is being put on the rack here.

After a good stretching the extra 6 cm may come in real handy.
Franklin 198cm
Tippett 201cm
Boyd 200cm
McCartin 194cm

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Flags are overrated.
I know someone who silver coats spoons.
If you put one in your baby's mouth at birth, you can brag that the kid was born with a silver spoon in the mouth.

OK so Saad did not do much when he came on.
But then he is not a mid fielder and did not go into the midfield.
When a substitute comes on he is supposed to set the world on fire in the midfield.
That is why the substitute is always a running midfielder.
Unless of course you have higher priorities than winning.

No requirement for the stretching rack. Paddy's a large frame he'll be fine.

Cam McCarthy 193cm
Tex Walker 192cm
Schulz 193cm
J Roughead 193cm
Pavlich 192cm
Hogan 195cm
J Riewoldt 195cm
N Riewoldt 193cm
