TIPSY TOPSY AND THE LEFTIST RADICAL KINGSTON COUNCIL !!
Well, they have buggered it up completely now. The stand off with St Kilda FC over the the re-development has cost them big time with the anouncement that the SAINTS are off to Frankston with a $10.25Mill development.
Make no mistake, they played a hand that was full of bluff and Archie Fraser & John Gdansky called their bluff. They said they wanted more open space and less pokies. They will be unable to achieve either objective now until 2040.
The StKFC has a lease on the facilities at Moorabbin until 2040 and it seems that they/we aren't prepared to walk away from the revenue stream that the venue provides, and nor we should. This will mean that the old stands, the oval, the pokies venue etc will stay as it is until the lease expires. That is unless Tipsy Topsy and her band of leftist radicals can come up with an offer that StKFC cannot refuse.
If I was Archie Fraser and/or Greg Westaway I would want to see blood from the gravel rash from this lot before even entertaining any of their proposals. It is they who need StKFC now much more than StKFC needs them. They stuffed up the negotiations and stuffed StKFC around for more than 5 years. Now, THEY SHOULD BE MADE TO PAY, BIG TIME !!

Titchy Bitchy and the other a-holes on the Keystone Council are a disgrace.
They are totally unrepresentative of their ratepayers.
any decent council would be proud to have an AFL team in their precinct and be looking to leverage mutual benefit to ratepayers from it.
But not these swines !
The stands at Linton St should remain in their progressively decaying state for the next 40 years as a monument to the stupidity and radicalism and moronity of this unrepresentative agenda driven ratbag collective of mugwamps.

the ratepayers will be more than paying for their adherence to free market forces by picking up the substantial demolition and clean-up cost ... and by the loss of even more parkland in the municipality when the land's flogged off
or they could just asphalt over it all - that seems to be their answer to most things including beach trails
