Oh When the Saints wrote:Sheesh guys, calm down.

I wish everyone would get this worked up over the Iraq war or the state of the federation or something similar - then we might make some real progress in Australia.

homework was a member of this forum for quite a while. As is the case with all Saints fans, he is welcome to jump on here and express his opinions.

The ability to express yourself coherently is NOT a pre-requisite for posting on SS, but you must also be able to communicate in a way that allows others to understand you.

There's no use posting if no-one understands what you are saying. It's harmless, but many find it annoying.

I believe the reason he was banned was a propensity for starting numerous threads in a short space of time, each of which contained fairly brief posts that were somewhat unintelligible.

There were a number of complaints about his posting behaviour, regarding his use of language and the frequency of his threads, which often contained few points of discussion.

He was warned half a dozen times about reducing the number of threads he started, and to no avail. Nor did he attempt to word his posts in a more readable manner.

I will speak to HD and we can probably un-ban him ... so don't get worked up.

I'm sure homework will change his ways and can express his love for the Saints.

But he also has to realise that you must ensure you are abiding by the expectations of others who read this forum when posting.
Don't defend Everton OWTS, he can stand alone in his pomposity.

Not the first time he has slagged some one off over misuse of the English language.

Take a look at his response to Bob_71, the man has a problem in communicating civily to people. I reckon any recommendation for banning coming from him should be dismissed unconditionally on the grounds that it originated from him.

ROFL :D :D

Settle down mate. You need to cool off a touch.

I can defend myself and I thought my response to bob_71 was fair after his attack, which came out of nowhere. I think he realised what he wrote afterwards and his backing down was timely.

You personally don't like me, I'm cool with that, but you're getting a bit keen in following me around. You're even waiting to tear rogerwa apart in his thread praising my recent posts. It's a bit weird for my liking.
I reckon any recommendation for banning coming from him should be dismissed unconditionally on the grounds that it originated from him.
And really, it's hard to take you seriously when you post things like that.

I'm not defending anyone GrumpyOne ... I share evertonfc's view.

BTW, I think it was SaintMick who asked about people being banned.

The answer is that yes, you will receive plenty of warnings before being banned.

People aren't banned out of the blue (unless they're nexus_nick or poochy), and are given plenty of time to clean up their act.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

It wasn't me who pulled the trigger on this one.....

I agree with all of what OWTS has posted however about posting standards, but for what its worth I don't think he should have been banned.

Just my honest oppinion.

Look I don't want to go into it here and I am sure Homey doesn't want me to, but all I can say is that he is 'slow', if you get my drift. Personally I think it's great that he gets on here and expresses himself and his love for his club. I know it's annoying but I think it's a case of putting up with a special type of person.

I am sure it is good for his development and I think his carers/teachers would probably encourage him been interactive with other people. We need to be tolerant of people in his situation imo, (I hope you are reading between the lines and getting what I am saying about him).

Funny you should bring up weirdness in your post.

I don't mind being criticised for what I do post, but its very weird that I am criticised for what I'm waiting to post!

ESP one of your specialities? How about this weekend's tattslotto numbers whilst your caressing your crystal balls?

And no, I don't like you, but I'm probably safe from being banned as I at least have a year 12 english qualification.

killa it's a bit hard to read between the lines when you put it so blatantly in the lines themselves.

You're sure homework doesn't want you to go into it, but you do so regardless? :?

Point taken Killa...

Can I throw a left field suggestion in...could a Bay 13 ever work here?

For example, it would enable us to reinstate homework and allow him to start threads and post as he chose...and if he followed instructions, he could get an invite back to the original forum.

We could call it the Animal Enclosure :P

Just a thought. Works a treat on BF.

You're right evertonfc, segregation is what these people need.

It's for their own good, I tells ya.

Emotive sarcasm at its finest :)

Just saying, it works well on BF, may be an option here...and would allow some of our rather colourful threads to continue in their own life...

Not saying it would definitely work here, but it could be worth a thought.

Would solve 80% of the to-lock-or-not-to-lock issue, too...

I've never thought of evertonfc as arrogant or pompus, quite the opposite. You can say what you want about me, I know the truth, and if a respect of good English is pompus, then pomp me up, baby!

That's cool, tried to suggest in an earlier post and nobody seemed to cotton on, so I thought I would be a bit more obvious. Next time I won't dumb it down for you.
