Rance

Post: # 475807Post BradWA »

I am amember of Swans in Wa and have seen a fair bit of Rance.
{Plays CHB ,HBF and drifts up the ground

Very Big for his age
Excellent LFT kick
Excellent hands
Good pace
Saw him play his first WAFL took 20 mins to get into it and then played like a 100 game player
If drafted will play AFL very early year 1 in my opionin
Swans have 2 or 4 potential AFL players all played in a outstanding colts side 8 players selected in the U18s 5 All Austs
3 are up for draft next year.

The gun is a skinny bloke called Notte (Noddy) absolute star FF amazing kick and extremly accurate.
Huge over head and pack mark
Only thing that will go against him is is wieght.

David Ellard would be worth a Rookie small forward and can play on ball extremely smart with heaps of courage and can kick a goal.

Swans Colts 2007 Premiers

The Swan Districts Football Club celebrated a fantastic season in the Colts with a 64-point victory over Claremont, Swans 20.11 (131) to Claremont's 10.7 (67). Josh Pullman kicked five goals for the black and whites and won the Mel Whinnen Medal as the best player on the ground.

The Swans produced a magnificent opening term 6.2 -38 to 1.0 6 - which provided a 5 goal buffer that Claremont struggled to overhaul. Swans 5 goal to 1 thrid quarter put the game well out of Claremonts reach and provide the Swans with a 53 point lead.

During the year we have encouraged all our supporters to come out and see the next wave of footballers at Swans - week in week out the colts produced great team play and great individual efforts. The great team play has seen them bring the Premiership Cup to Steel Blue Oval, Bassendean.

Names like Pullman, Lammie, Pratt, Garlett, Notte, Nattanui, Pearce, Ellard and Yarran will become very familiar to Swan Districts supporters. 10 years from today and it would be no surprise to have seen many of the colts side play in premierships at Swan Districts and even one or two to have played in a premiership at AFL level.

Sunday's victory ends a 16 year break between premierships for the Swan Districts at Colts level from 1991.

thanks for that.

If you are sure Rance will be able to play League Football consistently in his first season then I am all but sold.

My only problem with recruiting a key defender wouldve been the two-three year break you normally have to give them untill they develop.

Who in the AFL do you believe he is most similar to?

Murry Rance must be getting a bit old by now

Speaking of Murray Rance (which we weren't), the Couldabeens had a song about this dodgy Eagles defender from the late 80s.

I can't remember exactly how it went, but the essence of the punchline verse was something like ...

If you're over in Perth
and you need to take a chance
kick it to the man
who's playing on Murray Rance.

(Cruel but funny).

Kid called MYERS playing for Perth looks the goods.

Decent sized defender, looks ready to play.

There's a ruckman by the name of Brookes playing with Port Adelaide who is meant to be a GUN. Whoops 5 years too late.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.
