Hard to see if that's a good or bad deal...the next few years will show us the full extent.

Has anyone actually seen enough of Wood to make a judgment here?

Pies continue to strengthen.

Young, quality ruckman (although inexperienced) to compliment Fraser.

Will be a force for a few years.

we wouldve had to have given up pick 9 to have had any chance...let him go to the pies

To replace Fraser I'd say! Not much to compliment otherwise...

Too early to tell as the kid is only young....but probably worth pick 14 for the Pies.

I doubt he will be at his best for at least another 2-3 years in terms of football maturity.

The pies obviously believe their premiership window is well and truely open.

True...and he probably is not worth our 9.....but is certainly worth more than our second.

My fantasy draft was to get Wood and Sherman for say our first two picks...

But anyway he is Pie now.

I think that they see him as fitting with their new young core...

Yes Clemant , Bucley and Co are gone....Wakes and Sav on the way out (or ahs wakes retired too??)

But Wood will fit well with the bulk of their list which should get better over each of say the next 3 years.

Would have liked to have him but not for pick 9 that's for sure...
Collingwood got a good deal out of it.
However seeing as Collingwood have the highest paid recruiters you would htink that they know most about the upcoming draft and they feel that it is not in their best interest to keep picks for what could be a relatively weak draft...

....and to think we could have had him a couple of years ago at Pick 17 (Lions took him at #18), instead of Mini....

Oh well, such is life....and GT's edict of no young ruckmen...
