I thought RB should good grace...SEN as reporters offten tend to try and do were looking for negative or bitter comments about SEN....but other than saying it was not how he would have handled it RB gave them nothing.

Rod went with good grace and has put the Club first.

Well done Rod.

And there you have Saints fans.

Be proud.

Turmoil? Bloody coup? Bitter challenge? etc. etc.

Frogshyt! This is the new St.Kilda - get used to it.

Done with grace, professionalism and great timing.

Well done Saints - well done Butterss and Board.

Saints fans, be proud of this. It's significant.

Without going over old arguments - the reason his board was challenged was that the above was only the case up until 2006.

Indeed Dan...and what RB has put in place ALREADY actually gives us an excellent shot in 2008 too...

FF really need to be judged on what occurs from 2009 on......

If we hold the cup aloft in 2008 it will be 99% due to RB and only 1% or less what GW will have contributed by that time.

Agreed. Be interesting to hear from the new incumbents at the B & F too.

Isnt this just the best way to go....fans can now appreciate what he has done, without having to physically push him out at the AGM.

Well done to him, and one of his better moments in the last year.

Totally agree. Ironically the reason this has occurred is somewhat due to a lack of the above qualities at certain periods of his presidency.

All the best for the future Rod.

It seems somewhat backhanded to say that his greatest moment was his departure. If we had seen some of this demeanour during the year, he may have still been there.

Well done Rod. Showed a lot of grace despite the fact he saw the writing on the wall. He had to go because the shadow of Grant Thomas lingered over the club.

Rod going will remove GT's influence (even though holiday pay demands are still being demanded through the courts). Time for you to go too Grant. Why don't we give you .24 cents of your holiday entitlements?

Leave us alone & let the new board start anew. :) :) :)
