Not sure that you can sue someone for defamation if he doesn't actually defame you... did Westaway actually say Butterss was on drugs? He said that there was rumour and innuendo... maybe that was more in regards to Butterss rumoured big nights of the grog during the South African tour???

This is exactly the point. Westerway did not say that the board or RB had innuendo about them taking drugs....He was making the comment about the football industry in general....

I am waiting for someone to show me the direct quote, where westerway says that. I'm not talking about the claim by a jouno in the paper/radio, bu the actual quote.....

Westerway made it clear he was refering to football in general...which is true...

I don't think Greg Westaway is worried about anything - he said today that he should not have mentioned it but he was just trying to provide supporters with one point of difference: "Their ticket are going to go out of their way to lead the players by example of not getting drunk in front of players or in any public situation and they will always be available for drug testing"

Greg Westaway said "I am not a wowser, I like a drink but as a board, we must set an example to players."
