For information, no priority picks in Rookie draft, so our picks will be, 8, 24, 40.

What's the deal with Cousins? Still on their list that had to be lodged today so does that mean there leaving the door ajar for him?

It is to do with TPP

IF they sack him at this trade deadline or have his name mentioned his next year wages have to be paid into this years player payments

However on the next deadline they can say his name and half of his wage will be this year and half will be next year, which means they will be under the salary cap

Will not be an Eagle

If they delist him there is a query on TPP and his payment for 2008 and repercussions
it seems thaqt in discusssion with the AFL will wait till either the NOV or Dec delisting time.

Thought it'd be something like that. Could there be a situation where he may be on their list but not actually a West Coast player like Brisbane and Michael Voss?

I copied that straight from the AFL site itself and now it says he's not even delisted.

You can never trust that AFL site :x

I knew that it said Cam Howat had been delisted.

Delisted: Patrick Bowden, Brent Hartigan, Andrew Krakouer, Carl Peterson, Tas Clingan (rookie), Cam Howat (rookie)

i reckons hes worth a punt in the rookie/psd/national draft

ball magnet with less than perfect skills...much better player than clint jones however

Delistees who I think are worth a look (not who we should draft, just worth a look)

Matthew Bode - Played some good footy up forward for Adelaide over the past few years
Darren Pfeiffer - Highly rated as a junior and reportedly has plenty of talent but needs a kick up the arse
Lance Whitnall - If he had full medical exams and the doctors think he can play 20 games next year then he would be handy. If his knees are stuffed then don't bother
Guy Richards - Better option than Rix, Blake or van Rheenen in the ruck. Only draft if we delist Rix
Kepler Bradley - Probably won't happen, but if we want a tall forward he wouldn't be the worst options
Clayton Collard - Pace, skills and flair. Shocking attitude but could be a great player if he pulls his head in
Robert Haddrill - His body might be stuffed, but if he had a medical and he looked ok then he could be a handy key defender
Ryley Dunn - Could just need a change of scenary and some luck. Might not be worth the time, but could be worth a rookie spot
Matt Little - Quick medium forward. Only had the one senior game and he took some good grabs from leads, burning off Matt Maguire
Djaran Whyman - Very skillful crumbing forwad. Is pretty quick and tackles well. Not sure why he was delisted because his form for the Kangaroos was good as well as his VFL form
Ashley Sampi - If he trains the house down at Melbourne, he presents himself well in interviews then he might be worth a shot
Cameron Faulkner - Would like to see him train with us. Has skills and pace, but never quite put it together in his few opportunities in the seniors

Knowing Lyon we will probably take one recycled player in the ND/PSD and at least one more in the rookie draft.

Agree on most, MSG, just not Whitnall, Pfeiffer, Bradley or Richards.

Matthew Bode interests me, as does Collard (especially) and Cam Faulkner and Whyman.

Some Tigers angry @Patrick Bowden delisting

Post: # 485727Post Megamaguire »

A Tiger mate was hopping mad at Patrick Bowden getting the flick as he was carrying an injury allyear. He thought he had enough talent to persist with - any opinions?

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

He is 26 and can only get a kick when he's loose in defence. Already got plenty of flankers.
