Tackling Techniques !!

I have heard that clubs will go to extraordinary lengths to obtain an advantage over the the others on just about anything. The latest is what the Bulldogs did in attempt to improve their tackling this year.

They sought the assistance/expertise from one of our top Grecko Roman Wrestlers to take a number of sessions on tackling. I don't know whether it worked (someone will have some stats) but I found it a little amusing when I was told !!

bulldogs don't have the muslce to lay a tackle, though it's more a teachnique really. Gilbert along with Lenny(and maybe bally) are the best tacklers in our team.

Yep. Was saying to my dad on Saturday as nearly every one of our tackles was shrugged off - we should hire a few of the Storm players or coaches to teach us how to tackle.

Agreed that we need a rugby specialist coach and a few of the Storm boys down.. I'm thinking Cameron Smith, Ryan Hoffman, Dallas Johnson and Jamie Aubusson. Also, Gilbo, Bakes, Lenny & Goose can all pass on some tips to blokes that rarely make a tackle stick (i.e. R Clarke, Fizz, Milne, Gram etc.)
