GT branching out into more media outlets? Should keep Andrew from Hawthorn entertained.

I hope the admission that players are still contacting him doesn't send our president into another embarrassing spin.

Another great pro-St Kilda article by GT.

It's actually quite a well-written article: sort of moving in a way.

But I'm not quite sure about "chiselled Adonis": Fraser has a very impressive body, but I don't think his face quite has the "glorious beauty" of the Adonis of Greek Myth!!

I will say that if Thomas was still around, there might've been a big chance of Fraser staying 1 more year....seems the insight and connection he was able to develop with the big fella was quite deep.

I think all will agree.....he will be sorely missed.....even if hes not in top form.....

He gets more saints/opposition supporters out of their seats than any1 of our players.....people literally sit on the edge of their seats wondering what he'll do next.....

It's a very sad time 2 see him go.....

One Love Fras

a quote from that article;
" he was sending a message to all of those supporters over the years that have been frustrated and who have ridiculed him. He wants them to remember the best of what he had to offer .."

and that's all I do remeber; "the best of what he had to offer".

I consider myself immensly fortunate to have been able to spend a few hours in the company of the big fella a few years back, during a mid-season break; at Kooralbyn Resort in QLD.
He was truly a 'gentle giant'. Amazingly polite, funny, witty, and incredibly accomodating to BakesFan jnr (who was about 9 at the time).

I'll miss Fraser at FF terribly next year. My only consolation will be that (hopefully) he is happy.
Best wishes, Fraser.

i disagree GT and Fraser suddenly were best of mates ?!?
didnt thommo write an artical about wanting to drop milney and frase for away games ??? not to mention a certain best mate of frases getting the arse by GT
i aslo recall fraser not being too upset by GTs sacking

Had a great career. Was a freak of an athlete as a younging and so lean at WCE, then he just got huge and a powerhouse forward. Interesting character.

Great article. Sad to see one of the great characters retire. Not too many left in the game.I dont think they're allowed to be characters anymore !

As good as he has been for us, he made the right decision, no matter who was coach. His time was up, his body can no longer do the things his mind wants to do.

GT has an ego problem

Post: # 450651Post saint_ike »

Can someone tell me why it was important to Thomas to intimate in the article, albeit obliquely, that Fraser had actually informed him he was going to retire. I know why. Thomas needs accolades and self-importance. He has to tell people in his snide way that he is still in contact with the player and wants you to "think" that he has an intimate relationship with Gehrig. I don't recall Gehrig as being so overtly complimentary about Thomas as he was about Lyon. If Thomas cared only about St. Kilda he would also cease his subtly undermining activities.
