now that's an INJURY List

Piking out
MARTIN Pike has stepped away from Hastings after two years as coach to seek a coaching job in a higher competition. Hastings president Kevin Miles said his club was very happy with Pike's performance despite the club's failure to win a game in the Premier Division of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean league. Hastings had a bizarre season with injuries and spent most of the season without its core of senior players.
* Captain Michael Agnello had a flesh-rotting disease that began with a scratch on his thumb before eating away at his arm and threatening his life;
*former playing coach Damon Lawrence had a finger sewn back on after a work accident;
* Andrew Currie lost a finger after a work accident; and
*stand-in captain Dean Morrison missed half the season with an ingrown hair on his backside that became infected.
Hastings had 11 teenagers in its team that lost to Edithvale-Aspendale in the final round on Saturday.

I think every AFL player should be immediately and thoroughly investigated for ingrown hair on their backsides.

Like the draft, this event should be televised.

I believe the ratings would be good - but the event might kick up a stink!

Injuries played a part in the club's poor season, but there was a lot more too it than injuries.
Lets see what happens next season under a new coach.

There is a medical term, which slips my mind at present, for this condition...... actually the ingrown hair wrapps around the spine. I had a friend who had the same problem and couldn't play for two years.

Not nice at all.

I bet he was proud as punch that it got a mention in a major metropolitan newspaper.

I'm tipping he might have copped just a few baggings from mates, workmates, family etc about that one.

Apparently GT had the same problem but when the hair was removed it took on it’s own identity and is now known as rogerfox :wink:
