Fraser's favourite fan
Ryley was behind the MCG goals at midday, watching the Saints warm up, when Gehrig trotted over to say hello. "He said, 'I've got a little secret for you, I'm retiring. But I have a present for you. You can have it after the game'," Ryley said yesterday. Moments before the match, the rest of the crowd was let in on the secret that it was Gehrig's final match when he ran down to the cheer squad, applauded and waved goodbye. After the match, he sought out Ryley and presented her with his jumper. "He said 'This is for you' and he gave me a kiss," she said.

Good on you Ryley for showing others what Support really means

I was at the ground and someone told me.

I was, and am, devestated. I love Fraser, I don't want him to go.

I still can't get over it, flat as a tack this week.

Strangely, I am actually more flat about G leaving than missing the finals.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

I heard a couple of weeks ago that it was definitely going to happen.

I mean there have always been rumours that FG was going to retire, but this came from a pretty good source. Which proved correct.

I didn't post it here because I'd get shouted down for gossiping.

Some people here think we should only pass on information that has been issued in a press release.
