Howard played off the half back flank and played quite well. They might be going to try and turn him into another Jason Gram type. He certainly has good pace.

anyone else hear the '"take it off him' take it off him " :wink:

yes Coaches present;

Was Watts just concussion or jaw trouble- I was on the other side of the ground at the time.

Were the group of people in black jackets on the far side of the ground the saints squad? We had sheldon behind us at one stage.

Watts held his jaw and they took him to the rooms straight away.

Yeah was made to eat humble pie by howard after bagging him in the first quarter. Smart work from the back by him.

not sure about the group on the far side- Not saints- they did hang around the port group at 3/4 time,

only a few Saints there- Noone from the side from yesterday
Fergus looked very proppy as he left the game with his Dad but I wasn't close enough to offer best wishes.

Having been at the game myself I pretty much agree with Solar's comments. Rix and Clarke were pretty much beaten by Fanning, and the Scorps were murdered around the fall of the ball all day. Mini was very quiet, Armo did a bit but looked treacle slow, as did Vossy. Geary was OK, Eddy OK, Howard a poor first quarter and perhaps broke even after that. Brooks had a better first half than second.

Clarke moved like a dinosaur, and I suspect will be glad to stay retired this time. The game has definitely gone past him.

The standard was quite poor IMO; not much sign of anyone pushing through to play senior footy.

Went to the game on sunday but have not had time to log on. I think brookes, eddy and geary can push for senior selection next year. They seem to be ahead of our other young players that have played at the scorps. And unlike the others, these 3 seem to be improving. Those on this forum who are calling for brookes to be delisted have to be kidding themselves. He is well ahead of Rix as a Ruckman and well ahead of watts as a forward with his pace,skills and effort around the ground.
