one thing lyon forgot to put in his bag

Post: # 448015Post rogerwa »

he thought he had the lot
set square, compass, protactor, whiteboard, pens, duster the lot..one thing he forgot to pack was a bottle of good old fashioned PASSION

how any team can be run over for 10wks in a row by not only average opposition but at times teams of doubtfull ability is not only a slur on our passion for the contest but his inability to install the required passion to meet the challenge into the team

be interesting to see the spin that rb is going to put out re this season of woe

nearly threw up at the syd after game get together...the spin doctor (rb) got up to say a few words which let me speechless
we have made another mill buck profit...ffs that is the result of last yrs forward planning not this yrs
ross lyon has brought some great young talent to the club..
gilbert..was already there
attard..in your wildest imagination is a gop at best
jones..not a footballers bootlace

its not only the players that have gotta lift their game if we want to progress but the admin & coaches as well

you can paint a picture using funny coloured crayons but if you stand back & have a good hard look at it in black & white our season has been a failure

expect to see some real heavy handed trading/recruiting in a months time

Did you see Lyon speak to the blokes at three-quarter time?

Was very passionate.

Very passionate at the end of the game too, when he had the boys on the ground in the middle, and was talking with passion in his press conference.

And Gehrig was full of praise for the culture of the club when he spoke, praising Lyon and the group to the point of embarrassment and lauding everything St Kilda. Said he will love the club for the rest of his life and it had meant a huge amount to him.

So there can be absolutely no suggestion that there were fitness issues?

None at all?

Of course not.

It all comes down to passion

We all want to blame heroic and emotive concepts such as passion, guts and intensity for our season.

It makes it much more fulfilling then.

Unfortunately, the objective and boring reasons that our fitness was the worst in the AFL and that our fitness adviser left half-way through the pre-season are closer to the mark .....

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

agree your gotta have the cattle out there & up & running which we did not have early in the season however during that patch against foots, carl & a couple of others we had apart from goddard our best possible lineup available with them all leaving it to someone else to provide the spark..thats lack of passion, leadership, heart call it what you may

it was the block against foots, carl, coll which cost us a place in the 8..these clubs at that stage where in worse physical condition than we were in regards to players out & those coming back from long term injury

did not see todays game but if anyone reckons falling over the line against rich with all your keys contributing is gonna smooth things over we are in more strife than jet jackson
