Thankyou Andrew Thompson, you have given everything you have for this wonderful club. Over 200 games or hard work and toil. You were great during the dark days at the turn of the century and you will always have a spot in my memories as a saints member and fan.

Enjoy your day tomorrow and good luck into the future.

Odd thread - he's not been named in the team.

I think the conjecture arises from your comment: "enjoy your day tomorrow", indicating he'll play.
but if everyone wants to naval gaze and find reasons not to turn up tomorrow be my guest......
I'm sure people will be there regardless of the result tonight and whether or not he plays.

ok easy, will go into the post and get rid of it. Maybe add "not fussed if you enjoy your day or not. maybe go catch a flick, the simpsons movie is a good'n".....

mail from killa gram(usually correct) suggests that thommo was going to play a farewell game if Adelaide won.
So assuming he is right again its fair to say....

enjoy your day thommo

Not the most spectacular player to watch, but was a great player nonetheless who was always hard at it in the contests, and gave his all every time he played on the field. 200 plus games is an indication of his genunine passion and commitment to the club. Thanks for the memories Thommo, and wishing you all the very best in your life after footy.

Thanks for the memories Thommo, warrior to the end.
Unsung hero and almost a captain, 221 games from the age of 24 is one heluva effort.
Cannot be underestimated

wont be remembered for amazing marks, freakish goals or dozens of shiny awards;

but will be remembered with a smile on the face of every saints fan for his incredible ability to inspire and bring the team to life with nothing but pure and tough hard work.

thank you thommo for giving your all and wearing the jumper with the most contageous pride, it has been a pleasure :]

Good on ya Thommo, was never the greatest player, but was prepared to do the hard yards to get game and wasa great leader in a period where we struggled for leaders. And to start at 24 and play 200 games is real achievement for him to be proud of.

If only he could have kicked a goal today, it would have been great.

Admired him for over a decade now.
Always puts in.
Has played some great games.
I remenber him towelling Bucks once.
Main deficiency was he panicked when shooting at goal.

A true clubman.
And a hell of a nice bloke.

On ya Thommo !

Good on you Thommo.

A late pick up, a late bloomer and a solid contributor over many years.

Well done and good luck in the future.

And a nice move to slot him in today...
