For the gamblers....want to make some$$$$$

Post: # 445475Post saintsRrising »

Now my idea of gambling in the stock market....

however this week everyone seems to be assuming that the Blues will ose because of tanking.
However this ignores that Des have reasons "tank" wise to lose to...their own prioryty pick after the first round...and pick 2 rather than pick 1. and even pick IF the saints happen to lose to the Tigers.

Now the dees havea stacj of players out with another swag after the last round.

So my question to the gamblers is, are these odds really correct????

Betting Agencies Melbourne Carlton Draw Last Updated
Betworks (ACT) 1.45 2.80 Wed Aug 29 17:34
Sportsbet (NT) 1.50 2.60 Wed Aug 29 17:40
Sports Acumen (ACT) 1.42 2.87 Wed Aug 29 17:31
Global (Vic) 1.41 2.90 Wed Aug 29 17:31
Sportingbet Oz (NT) 1.43 2.75 Wed Aug 29 17:41
Portlandbet (ACT) 1.39 2.90 Wed Aug 29 17:41
CanBet (UK) 1.35 3.00 Wed Aug 29 17:40
Lasseters (NT) 1.40 2.75 Wed Aug 29 17:24
Centrebet (NT) 1.34 3.00 Wed Aug 29 17:30
Australian Horse Racing: Compare

Or are the odds completely wrong?????

I wont say the bookies have them wrong...for they are businesmen who seek to make money irrespective of who wins and hence they post odds based on thewho is wagering the money and in what proportion.....rather than on who they may think will win.

So who would you back....a few $$ on the Dees...or ?????

Im thinking about putting money on the blues.

Though the team selections will be interesting, wouldnt be surprised to see someone from carlton get ''injured'' mid game though.

Yes that is what I am thinking too.....

Al things being equal (and  they are not).....the Blues acually should be favoutites if it was not for tanking....

i was thinking the same thing, especially as the dees can blame a second half fade out on the trip to Subi the week before, so no one is suspicious

This OP was a bit of fun......

Personally I am not a gambler.....I only risk money when the outcome is mainly a certain profit and my outlook is mainly how big it will be....hence for me the sharemarket.

Whereas betting on horses or football have an outcome where you may get nil return

However it is interesting to note occurances such as this where the odds do not seem to be in accorance with what they should be.....a bit like some shares that I am currently watching
