Losing confidence on backing Collingwood...

Just doing some reading on Malthouses comments and it appears also most Pie fans are comfortable in the knowledge they cant fall lower than 6th....to me (and I am MORE than happy to be wrong Friday!!!) it does look like the Pies dont have a great deal to play for - top 4 is unlikely...while Adelaide are playing essentially an elimination final 1 week early in Roo-ciuttio's last game possibly.....

Not confident.

Unfortunately I am having similar feelings.
It virtually comes down to who does Collingwood want to see in the finals?
I think they would sooner play the crows than us so.................
Friday will be interesting as will our game against the tigers.
They have nothing to lose either except the pleasure of knocking us out of contention. Beware!

I could see the Crows going all out and then dying week 1 having to back up again......but at the Dome they have enough talent to drop Collingwood.......

I guess we'll know with who the Pies to decide to give rests to etc - if you see Buckley, Thomas, Clarke, Fraser having a spell for the likes of Liccuria, Obree etc..........dust off the cricket gear....

Malthouse is that sort of pr!ck also...BUT ...we have only 1 side to blame....US.

Not sure you want to play the side that has just beaten you the previous week. they will be trying 100% whether they are good enough is the question.

they will want a top four no matter how slim it is.... But I think adelaide is playing better football right now so it is a real danger.

Should never have gotten ourselves in such a position, cant blame the pies if they want to rest a few players for the finals.

I'm praying for a repeat of the Round 22, 2005 scenario.

St Kilda....locked solid in 3rd postion..rest Goose and Fraser

Brisbane..everything to play for..will miss finals if they lose

I dont think I ned to remind anyone of the score

Exactly. If we fade out now we've only got ourselves to blame! The Pies are home and hosed and sitting relatively pretty.

But Brisbane were a really crap side then if I remember correctly.

We didn't play that well and won by about 50 points at the Gabba!

Nearly all teams that don't make the eight are crap most years IMO.
