No biggie. Dunno why everyones so defensive. St'Fid hates Hird... no biggie. I've hated so called champions before. Free world, if fid reckon he's crap, then so be it. Then we moved on to the Anzac Medal and what a load of crap that is... just my opinion.
Carry on, the thread still has legs.
For instance..
There's the thing about not wishing injuries on other teams. That's not PC. Sorry, but I've been very happy when Hirds been out injured against us. He is a champ but I'm happier if he's not playing - if that means injured then so be it. Ditto Buckley and all the rest. I just wanna win.

James Hird has always been a dilemma for me, I hate watching Essendon play but I love watching Hird play.
Sheedy I have the utmost respect for, stands up for his players and club at every opportunity. Some of his comments over the years have infuriated me, but I'd love to have someone in our corner prepared to do the same for us.
Both are true legends of the game and deserved a send off like they got last night.
