WHAT IS PLUGGERS PROBLEM WITH ST.KILDA

Post: # 439845Post Stephen Theodore »

Just reading another thread where someone wrote they would prefer someone other than Lockett as a goal kicking coach at St.Kilda. It got me thinking: What actually is Pluggers problem with the Saints. I havent lived down in Vic for 30 years, so this may come across as a naive question, but is there one incident that has caused his blackban on our club, or is it just a combination of incidents over the years ?

there is a difference between a great player and a great coach.

plugger has no feelings for st kilda, he still has affection for loewe, spud and a couple of others, thats it.

he has avoided st kilda functions, even those honoring him.

so be it.

imo we should be getting people who want to be at st kilda and just for their own edification.

Some might argue that Famer doesn't fall under the label 'people'... He is nothing more than a stray dog that needs to be 'fixed'

Plugger just doesn't like footy - full stop.

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

I think he came up for the Team of the Decade dinner a couple of months back, but beyond that they don't see sight nor sound of him either.

Because he is a selfish toss. Thank good they got the pig off the ground when they did, Plugger was salivating.

When did he play for St Kilda , i thought he was a Sydney wanker.......

The truth is i no longer consider him a St Kilda player ,he raced off to Sydney to milk their coffers after he allegedly lost a fair portion of his StKilda money flirting with greyhounds in Devon Meadows.....

How many wooden spoons did he help us win, thats about all we won when we had the crutch throwing ,Saints official bashing , tub of suet............

plugger is an all time great.

i will always have a spotfor him in my st kilda heart.

i think he was over a lot of things at st kilda...the mediocrity in the admin, the rotating coaches and the consistent poor performance of the club.

it wasn't just st kilda however, he needed out of victoria, and sydney was the best option.

He wouldn't be the first person to have found things tough when they reflect on their life from 18-26 and not look back fondly on how things panned out. If he made a change that made him feel better about himself it would be all the more difficult to go back.

While we remember some of the great things he did on the field it's easy to forget his more challenging times, when injury and suspension coupled with media scrutiny made like difficult for him. It's possible he feels that the clib didn't always do right by him in those days.

Perhaps he's moved on and wants to do more postive things.
