Riewoldt Suspended - Only a matter of time

Post: # 439248Post skeptic »

This guy leads hard... stops suddenly and changes direction (full speed) and leads again...

only a matter of time until he stops and his opponent ploughs into him and BAM... 5 week suspension for Nick Riewoldt

Posts like this make me embarrased about our supporters.

Are you guys all this one eyed?

What about Ben Johnson? He got 6 weeks and Roe got 1.

We aren't the only club to get dodgy tribunal deals. Lets move on.

The AFL's checklist of stuff to remove:

*Good pack marks -check
*Speccies -check
*Good hard running and leading -check and check

Now, all they have to do is get rid of all these Victorian teams and we'll be set.

Gehrig surely couldn't be allowed on an AFL field again after his violent tackle on sweet little Thornton!

And Blake will be in trouble. I saw him jump straight at Gilmore (completely unprovoked) in the center a few times.

AND I am amazed that Dal has not yet been cited for trying to swallow Barry Halls elbow a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps he should have fallen to the ground, said he didn't remember trying to have lunch mid game and ask for assistance off the ground.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

i would have thought BJ got a pretty good deal and the Roe one was not as bad... worth 2-3... downsized due to good behavior

lets talk apples and apples mate firstly...

both those cases were caught on camera and the incidents were in the standard parameters set by the MRP and tribunal.

Baker has been found guilty of something NO ONE has been found guilty of before.

It's not like he stuck his finger up someone's bum or something bizarre is it???

Wearing a St kilda jumper immediately sets 200 activation points at the tribunal.

Ex-Saints and tribunal members Burke and Loewe should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

they have a system to work with and cannot step around it regardless of who played for whom and when

and you cant see why baker was given such a stiff sentence???

go look at his record barring the sentence against stafford last year which was a joke and we all know it

he is a littler terrier and a champ at it

however he took frequently steps over the line

Yes Bakes should do the time if he is deemed to be guilty based on evidence that is conclusive. The problem is that he is not guilty of the charge that the tribunal were asked to review. The guilty verdict seems to be a jumped up claim outside of the jurisdiction provided to them.

Have you watched the footage of the two incidents?

Johnson deserved the 8 weeks. He lined Bell up and went straght for him, which you can tell by where he was looking. Besides, the ball wasn't even in the contest as Johnson wasn't actually going for it and he had time to change direction.

Whereas Roe was going for the footy. Both players where going at the ball headfirst the only difference between the two players was that Roe had better vision and was able to turn his body at the last minute.

Due to this difference he deserved a much reduced penalty.

"When we get back on November 5 and walk through that door, we're getting on a bus together and we're going down the road to a premiership. You're either on the bus or you get run over," Roo at the B&F 2007

In 2012, I'm still on the bus.

I am so sick of people logging on here, signing up and on there very first post telling people to move on.

You can move on, but the club nor have 99.9% of the supporters of this club have moved on yet... so don't tell people to move on when clearly there is more to be played out.

I am excited to stay at St Kilda and this is a great result for the Club and all our fans. I’m proud to be part of the Saints and am pleased to be playing football with the Clubâ€

Like tapping Alessio with his foot because he was stomping on Baker's ankle?
