looking at it, if brisbane win the ladder becomes VERY tight. Sydney would be only half a game ahead of us with two tough games to come.

So in some sense we could still gain if brisbane do win.

As far as I gather, it means a second spot in the 8 becomes available, but it also means there's some daylight between us and Brisbane (with Brisbane ahead of us)

49% good for us, 51% bad for us...we're only in the hunt for eighth, realistically...

And this keeps Brisbane in it, although they have a tough draw - that's the key thing.

To be honest, their % was so much better than ours it was worth 2 points, so it shouldn't affect us too much, but still...not great...

Nah, it's as good as a Sydney win.

Means the Lions have to beat Adelaide and Geelong to make the 8.

If they had won, they could have dropped one and still been ahead of us on %.


So if we go 1-1 over the next two weeks, we should stay ahead of the Lions.


But you are right, it really only leaves us in the running for 8th spot.


They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Not only do we keep Brisbane from getting 4 points and hammering us on %, but Sydney are still two wins ahead of us. We got the best result tonight.

in related news- the tigers are having a real dip at the weagles at the moment!

its getting a bit firey too- lets hope for a huge melee with plenty of suspensions for both sides!

Really, looking at the ladder predictor, Adelaide and Essendon are our main rivals for 8th spot.

Could play either Sydney or Collingwood in the first week of the finals should we make it ...


They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Would really have been better for us to have WCE poleax Richmnd..but glad the TIggers are having a crack...

In related news. GOD the hometown umpiring over there...young Jackson from Richmond was absolutely coathangered front on in a marking contest. Borderline reportable, blatant free kick....but at Subi..PLAY ON!!!!
