I wish he'd say that to Hamil as well.

Quiet, unassuming, a great clubman.

Has worked so hard and put his body on the line so many times over the years for our club.

I hope he gets a good sendoff.

Best of luck Thommo.
Not much more I can add to that appraisal. Sustained the test of time with aplomb.

Can't say enough about Buckley's punching bag. Always rose in he big games, played some tremendous finals. Tough uncompromising always put his body on the line. Although probably this year was one too many, will always be remembered positively.

The saints are playing in the last AFL game of september, and Thommo had gotten over his knee injury and played a half of footy for the scorps and amassed 25 posessions.

Do you play him in the grand final?
Of course you would.

Experience is vital. He has played in finals and a Grand Final before, his experience would be invaluable.

I think he's been misused in 2007.

what a champion he has been.

along with burke, loewe, winmar, he worked to deserve a premiership. Luck, injuries, and a few other issues denied him.
OWTS:

IF your gonna put up posts telling us all to honour the thread and stay away from selection drivel etc (as my original post on this thread said and then was edited) then you would want to be objective in your editing as a moderator wouldnt you and delete some of this rubbish?

Ive even bolded the sections to make it easier for you to distinguish from your mates.

Good luck.

An absolute champion and such terrible news to hear this. I wish him all the best.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Hope he doesn't play in round 22 and is selected in a finalin that case...has been a great warrior of the St.Kilda Football Club...would love to see him and Harves retire in style

Shocking news, and I hope we can at the very least farewell him with some finals footy.
