We went back down the typical one dimensional Gehrig, Riewoldt and Milne path on Saturday night. When we end up this way we always lose.
Voss or Ferguson must come in and present as half forward options. The pace thing with both Clarke (multiple crucial turnovers)and Jones did not work. Disposal from both was unexceptable, they were not front/centre and did not work hard enought to keep the ball in. Both out this week.
At the same time, delivery to these guys on Saturday night was the worst l have seen in a long, long time. St.Kilda should have won the game if not for their pathetic delivery. Riewoldt and Gehrig must have felt frustrated...
Add half forwards to the top of the list (Ruckman/pace) next year Mr Beveridge and Co.....
No half forwards...again

Voss, Ferguson can all play HF. Both good in the air and good readers of the play.
They are what we need for our structure, not half-arsed midfielders who give our opponents the ascendancy when put in the middle, and can't play half forward to save their lives.
I'd even be tempted to put Gram or S. Fisher there.
We have had a wealth of half forwards, BUT we groomed them all to become defenders. Even Gwilt who is now being trained as a key backman, although I wouldn't be too confident in him hitting leads lace out, he could kick a few 55+ metre goals.
