Another midfielder that Collingwood are reportedly looking at is Brayden Fiorini 25yo GCS. Im not sure if he is contracted but I wonder if the Saints have had a look at him? After the Brodie deal to Freo last year, I believe there is a lot of talent getting under utilised or developed at GCS, like Fiorini and Bowes this year. The Pies did well last year identifying Lipinksi who had a break out year with them this year.

Will be ok in a defense with Howard Battle and Wilkie in front of him.

Truly awful player
I wonder if the Bulldogs have ever seen him play?
They offered him a 2 year contract.

Does anyone think we should tried to get him back?
For a future 3rd round pick, I would have said yes.
Sorry, brain fade, Blake Acres.
Adding Blake to the Blues midfield is a massive leg up for them especially if he can consistently deliver some of his best form from this season. Makes their midfield a scary proposition if that happens.
It sure is a massive leg up and another reason Carlton have and will continue to surpass us.
Blake should still be at our club and disappointing to see him now go to Carlton. He is better than a number of others on our list.
This trade further symbolizes how much we've lost our way.
With multiple bonafide superstars on every line they have finally put together a quality list build capable of becoming a sustained top 4 side for the next 10 years and Jonny come lately aka Voss will end up looking like a mega coach.

Talented lists wins flags.
They just have to make the finals first. Blake should push them over the line. He can replace who?

Cordy is obviously a good back up key defender. I wonder if Enright has considered releasing Wilkie to play on small/medium forwards etc and have him play much more of an intercept attacking role. I think Wilkie has the potential to go to another level if he is released, as you know he will still defend well.

Heard this brought up a couple times on trade radio today; although Geelong keen to hold on to him.

Anyone heard any other potential targets other than him and weiderman?

Whitfield and Haynes are allegedly being shopped around?

Club sounds reluctant to let Bytel go, but Essendon are showing interest.

Leinert seems unlikely to get another contract.

Bytel hopefully gets 1 year deal after trade period.
Lienert will be stiff IMO as is a bit of utility however with Coffield back perhaps they think he is excess

Leinert stiff of he doesn't get another year.
Thought he was decent and got better as the year went on.

Given their history we would have to send our first with Bytel to get that 4th.

Lienert showed plenty of upside in his game his stats are good and with his kicking he often broke the press with his kicking penetration deserves a rooky contract is better then some of the other players we have.

Mock him all you want but it won’t change the reality that St Kilda has struggled to attract any big names for years.

I hope both get another 12 months.

Essendon are now chasing Will Setterfield from Carlton, so Bytel to them seems unlikely.

Posters on BF are running with that GWS may offer Nick Haynes and a pick in another salary dump. The rumour started with David Noble on Trade Radio so no one knows if its inside knowledge? If Haynes ends up at the Saints it might be curtains for Lienert?

100%
The talk is one day Ben King might join his brother but it's occurred to me it's more likely that Max will one day join Ben at the GC

It would be great to see Bytel played in a block of 6-8 consecutive games.

Weideman looks like he’s off to the bombers.

Personally I don’t mind that. Don’t rate him.

Where are you hearing that?

Would've thought he was a better bet than Cordy
