We are stuck in death valley, once you're there , you better get comfortable. Mid table mediocrity for decades , we're now into our second. The likes of Essendon, Carlton , North have been trapped in it for twice as long as us.

North have played 7 finals in the last 9 seasons.

Carlton and Essendon cheated their way to mediocrity.

All clubs are always rebuilding. It is just how much is required and how.

Cats used to be all about the draft.

More recently they changed tack to keep churning through older but very talented players from other clubs.

This older player rebuild has won them a flag.

PS...in the main the Saints have brought in the wrong mature aged players.....while also not developing our younger players as well as the Cats do.

Not reactionary.

Try and pinch and pack here and there.

We will finish on the fringes of the 8 for a few years.

Look what happened to North when they decided to rebuild…disaster.

It is not a level playing field.

Any step in the direction of down invites an avalanche.
