Nearest the pin

Now I'm going too run a "Nearest the pin" on the clubs "Review" the question is what will be the final findings of the review

now there will be no prize as such for winning only for the fact you can spend the off season knowing how smart you are

Nothing to see here they'll say at the end of it.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

You used 'too' which means 'also' and 'as well'.
Should have used 'to'

We've identified a few areas that need improvement and we will work on these in house ..... but .... no wholesale changes because we believe we are mostly wholly on the right track and heading in a the right direction to be competitive at the highest levels

When was that funny mission statement that had us top 4, with several thousand members in NZ, etc.
That was a laugh.
Then Bassatt reckons we're a big chance in 2023

Bottom line is, the Lethlean-led "top up" has failed.

We can't count on Windhager and co being superstars so we need to do another mini-rebuild.

Can't afford to squander draft picks and in fact we need to trade up.

We also need to ditch the new age gurus and get back to basics.

There. That's the review. Give me eighty grand.

King and Cornes both disagree that we need to re-build. They said we will drop to 8 wins on that course. Instead, they said we would shoot to add 3 wins, and then try and disrupt the 8.

tend to agree.

We might be in the perpetual rebuild syndrome.

Perhaps be as competitive as possible year in year out is best, feeding on the scraps intelligently is more fruitful than textbook re-builds - because it is not a perfect world. (or an honest one)

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!
