If Kent gets a game ahead of Bytel, we are truly lead by idiots.
Interesting test 🤔

Playing 3 ppl that won’t be on the list next season

Nothing wrong with coaching and development though… just not good enough

Hurley is a lifetime Essendon player, dual AA.

Kent, Hannas? Why do they get a send off....Geary I would cop, but not those two.

Hannas arguably deserves a spot on merit

But how do they say to Bytel - well its been a tough year for you, but you've fought back well and put your head over it at Sandy. Unfortunately we going to give Dean the last spot instead of you, cos he's on 99 games.

I can understand the sentiment & we can't make the finals but from a professional point of view probably should play the best team but I don't GAF at this stage of the year. Another almost ,nearly ,could have ,should have, didn't year

Interesting test 🤔
So Hannebery getting a gig in front of Bytel doesn't give a whiff of anything?

It might mean Bytel is a complete spud, he's had 4 years to try and crack into the side and yes some of that is because of injury but it doesn't matter what the reason is, 4 years is more than enough time. Time to cut the losses.

One of them will be the medi -sub.

I say it'll be Kent.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Yes it does, but at least he has shown he helps the side win.
We should be trying to win at all cost ,
Next priority play the players who need experience
Third priority is sentiment

We are going to put Sentiment at number 1

Maybe I was spoiled in the Lockett days when you could rely on a full forward to do his one job reasonably well.

And maybe the odds of a player being on a list for 4 years years and only 3 games to his name screams spud.

And we wonder why we are a loser club.

He is in the best players at Sandy last few weeks, and is a natural replacement for Crouch. If he's not getting a game, then his papers must be stamped

Sharman was injured for the second half of the game. So that injury probably flared.

Using Sandy form as a reference point is not a good measure because the standard at VFL has dropped so far since the pandemic and it has especially dropped even further at Sandy, like the arse has dropped out completely. My guess is Bytel has been told he is going to be cut and that makes sense to me.

Lockett had games where he did not play well

When his form was down, they threw him into the ruck

Further, Tony missed multiple games across his career at St Kilda, including thru suspensions

He finally left St Kilda for Sydney

Magnificent footballer and a top person to boot

But, as with everyone, not perfect

I wonder if contributors to this site are 12 year olds with no life experience or demented old men living out a fantasy they never achieved - in sport and elsewhere across life

And just to add, Kent is on 99 games

So med sub gives him 100 AFL games - and achievement

I have no problems getting him to 100 games

In regards Bytel, he played at the end of last season in preference to Dunstan (who polled Brownlow votes during the season)

There was a reason for that

Unfortunately injury has impacted in 2022 (and across his career)
