I don't think we'd miss any of that lot if they were all moved on.

I think Allison is contracted for 2023 so he may get another year to wither at Sandy.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Bytel and Byrnes are keepers but they are not getting a fair go at Moorabbin and may look elsewhere, which would be a crying shame. IMHFO

I would add Ryder to that list for reasons that everyone is aware of. Chronic Achilles problem and age, means that he will struggle to put consecutive games together. Marshall is better value if Paddy is not playing. Paddy will make a wonderful ruck coach.
8 is a good number to delist so would keep Byrnes.

If we delist as many as 8 players where do we get 8 as good in the draft or trade?
Bytel, Byrnes and Highmore worth keeping

Yes to
Allison
Kent
Geary

Why would you delist Bytel and Byrnes, still developing.
Highmore a keeper, not sure about Joyce, but we haven't much in reserve for KPDs

Definitely

Geary
Kent
Joyce

Maybe

Allison (only because he's contracted)
Hannebery

Bytel has been injured for most of this year. Needs a clean run at it. I'm not convinced, but I think one more year to show his worth

Byrnes has shown a little bit and can improve

Geary announced he’s retiring so that’s the obvious one. I will bombard the club with phone calls and emails if they don’t delist Hannebery

Bytel is a keeper. Needs to look after his body and just keep getting fitter and stronger. We know he has talent and he also has leadership credentials. He has the potential to be our best inside mid in 2-3 years time. Why wouldn’t you persevere?

Highmore unlucky not to have played a few more games this year. If Jimmy and Josh have injuries, I’d be happy to have him replace one of them in the team. Lienert to me, seems to be more of a winger rather than a defender. He’s handy if Wood or McKenzie or Hill are injured

So….you want them to lock the front door, padlock the gate, and put a sign saying ‘Business Closed’

By all accounts from BF - Bytel is off to Essendon and NWM has asked to return to Adelaide this year or next.

See if Freo would like seagull Hill back. He’d go well hovering at Kailis Fish Market. Perhaps they could handball Acres back if the Saints said that the coaches had their fingers crossed behind their backs when the swap was made.

It would have to be

Hill + first round draft pick for Acres

Saints have dropped the ball if true.

My mate told me that Bytel’s old man told him that he could do better else where and that they were looking around.

I don’t understand all this love for Byrnes & Bytel. BOG players who would not be best 22 in any of the top 6 teams.

Good sides maintain good depth, I'd hate to see another Essendon theft for sweet FA. They love picking us off

I think Bytel has something to offer & Brybes is a goer but average kicking skills & IMO don't think he will make it hope he proves me wrong

We must persevere with Bytel. We aren't the best midfield in the world.

Is it just people repeating someone's initial thoughts as now fact.

Or is there a genuine source as to this actually being the case?

Previously the rumour with no source was that he was homesick. So what is the source of " NWM has asked to return to Adelaide this year or next."

I am not disputing it, but rather I am just curious as to whether it is just speculation, or whether there actually is a genuine source which makes it factual, rather than just a rumour.
