Arryn Siposs NFL Preseason Game

Post: # 1919939Post BackFromUSA »

• Arryn Siposs averaged 55.8 gross yards (51.3-yard net average) on his four punts Thursday night, with a 69-yarder that bounced into the end zone. A couple of the punts weren't perfect, but Siposs had some good fortune on bounces. He's got a huge leg and he certainly wants to be more consistent, and the Eagles believe that's going to happen. Not lost for Siposs is that he was perfect on his three holds for placekicker Jake Elliott, who was perfect in the preseason opener. That's a great sign.

This season on USD$$660,000 (AUD$920,000) as long as he stays on the list for the entire season. Only $25,000 signing bonus was guaranteed. If he stays in the squad for 3 years his total deal is for the 3 years, $2,535,000 at an average of USD $845,000 or around $1.4m Aussie average over the three year contact.

Not too bad for an ex AFL GOP.

Good on him.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

You should try it Munga. You would like it. It's not the same as TV or the news.

It is truly a magnificent country.

BTW the most common remark I get from Americans is "I couldn't live in Australia cos it is full of poisonous snakes and spiders and if they don't get you then you will be bitten by a shark."

To be fair, I would like to hear from anyone who has visited USA.

Especially if you didn't like it.

Yeah, I have been there. 5 times actually if you count Hawaii. Did a graduate diploma in Steam boat Springs in 1990. Loved my time there and took my family back for the ten year reunion in 2000. White water rafting down the Colorado river for the second time, visit to Las Vegas..etc.

In more recent times bordered a ship in Los Angles and debarked in New York, after going through the Panama Canal and stopping in several ports on the east coast. Georgetown was one of them, KeynWest another. Loved that too, especially New York.

However, your stupid gun laws, covid and idiotic red hat wearers have changed my perception of America for ever and not in a good way. f***, I can't even stand watching Fox news anymore, and CNN is barely viewable.

I would not want to live there and I fear for my niece who lives in New York.

Oh the land is beautiful, no doubt about it.

It's the people that are nuts. Well, half of the people. Take them away and I might visit haha!

They have too many issues to list here. But they are so very proud to support guns and war, and from such a God fearing nation. No thanks.

The world is an amazing place, and the USA is towards the bottom of my list. I'm just one person though, don't worry too much about my opinion mate :)

Obviously the population is bigger and certainly a bit louder as far media profiles but in terms of attitudes I would say differences are not nearly as discernible as is being made out.

Whatever ‘craziness’ is out there is definitely alive and well here

Interesting question. My wife's family are from Detroit, her dad was actually born in Minneapolis, but they eventually settled in Southern California. I've managed to visit once or twice a year since the early 1980's, and I've lived on and off in San Diego, or Del Mar for a few years.

The beach lifestyle and superb weather are as good as anywhere in the world, and there are a heap of things to do. The landscape in the Arizona and Utah desert is spectacular, and the coast and culture up to San Francisco is world class.

I never managed to get into football or basketball, but became addicted to baseball and the San Diego Padres. As a mass generalization, I found most people to be extremely friendly although a bit shallow. I absolutely hated the politics, both parties, and the inequality between rich and poor. And I hated the media and Hollywood culture.

I've had the pleasure to travel to many places and experience their countries and their cultures, almost every place has some good and some bad. There is still so much more of the USA I'm keen to explore, and I'd happily recommend anybody to visit. But I choose to live and rear my family in Australia.

Have been to the States 4 times in the past 8 years the last being Feb 2020 (no didn’t bring Covid back). I can honestly say what a beautiful place. People are fantastic. Saying that I wouldn’t like to live there purely based of wages, health care etc. but an amazing place to holiday/visit and can’t wait to go back.

I went as a kid to Disneyworld in Florida and loved it. I want to go again and take my kids. COVID has killed off that time window somewhat.

Not sure if I can ever go there now.

He has made the final squad. He’s the only punter so will definitely play on Monday week.
