It's never been a question of Gilbo's desire and willingness to compete. He just makes too many mistakes and is too unreliable by foot. That's bad not only for his confidence but those around him as well. Like the ALP campaign in 1972 told us famously, "It's Time!" and has been for quite a while. If you plan to keep developing youngsters in the VFL and have him on board for his experience, then maybe. However, if you are planning to make the finals, he should make way for a younger, better prospect.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
Watch the next game.
He'll get caught with the ball at least 8 times, he'll turn it over at least 10 times.
I'll come on here after the game and give you the times of each mistake.
1st qtr, 15:41 mark.
Running with no pressure, kicks 45m out on full.
To a player who was 40m clear of anyone.
There were more but understandably I was too busy watching to take notes

your cred is now 0
anyone else seeing the garbage from this poster ????
WS is entitled to an opinion even if it is blatantly incorrect. Continually bashing our players like this is painfully boring especially when his target Gilbo played very well.

ok gotcha , we are all entitled to talk blatant garbage on here.
He wasn't too bad. He only had six kicks that he could stuff up (3/3). Good close checking pressure resulted in few clear possessions to his opponents. Always looked to run forward on the spread. You don't have to be used for this to work.
half way through it, playing like a man possessed.
there's a passage seconds prior to geary being pinged for deliberate out of bounds (kinda dived over the line with it), west coast are trying to run the ball out of their back half, gilbert flies in and lays a really strong tackle, west coast player gets the ball off to someone running past, but before they could get away gilbert somehow gets up and lays another hard tackle. He's an animal
Going hard, which makes his disposal and decision making even more crazy!!!
His decision in the last minute to do a 7m kicking through the middle that went straight to a Collingwood player was bizarre... at least he could tackle the player he kicked it to...
Great game by Gilbo tonight.
Still a required player.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
How much better is our defence with the excellent Carlisle, the proficient Brown and then Roberton and Gilbert, both 194cm, running around in our defensive zone saying get past me if you can

Bet it won't silence the anti-Gilbo horde that want him dropped every week regardless of form.
