Impatient Sainter wrote: Sat 22 May 2021 11:51pm What a poor decision it now is to trade away early draft picks for Hill & Higgins.
The Hill deal went too far. The draft picks should have been enough. Acres skewed that deal too far away from us.

Since then, it seems like we are chasing our bets and trading instead of drafting.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Dogs

I'm ashamed of my club! Ashamed is harsh I'm going with very disappointed & its not the first time & yeah I think you know the story :( I'm ashamed because they (Ryder excluded) didn't try tonight. They were not worthy to wear the jumper. They were not worthy of our support. If ever an effo...

Re: How have we gone backwards so far?

We traded like a premiership threat. So maybe we have gone forward too fast. So fast, in fact, that we broke the space-time continuum and skipped our premiership and came out at another rebuild. We got great service out of Frawley and McKernan in those premiership years though  f****** gold.

St Kilda, we need to talk

I just want you to know that it's not you, it's me. It's my fault I believed you could change. My fault that I continue to allow myself to be seduced by your false hope. This relationship has been too one sided for too long. You ask, I give. So many of us give. Our time, our money... Our hearts. Whe...

Re: Nathan Freeman

We DON'T NEED another mid. Need a ruck back-up quick smart. Roma is having plantar fascia issues, and it's not good to push him too hard until it's resolved. Remember Luke Ball and osteitis pubis? Ryder isn't young, we don't know how long he has left. The Paul Hunter/Shaun McKernan experiment hasn'...

Re: The decision to pick McCartin.

Paddy wasn't some rank outsider in the draft. It is easy to say now that Petracca was the clear standout but McCartin was not just in the conversation, he was a genuine top level draft pick. The Age had an article that had Heeny number 1, but he was always going to be a Swan. https://www.theage.com....

Re: Brad Hill iis a Cancer that needs excising

Personally think the criticism is overblown because of salary Hill was all over the ground and works hard. He’s not a tough player and is found wanting too often in contests but that’s to be expected If we shovel the ball out to him, he’s a killer Not just salary, we invested in Hill by selling a s...

He's a pretty clever footballer and he could add a couple of years to his career if he develops his ruck craft. He doesn't have a big leap but uses his body so well. I can see him being more than a relief ruckman if he wants to put the work into it. Naitanui is athletic as a ruckman can get and Carl...

We lost the hitouts 36 to 19 (by 17), but won the clearances 35 to 24 (by 11). So much for Natanui and his giant leap and laser-precision tap outs. Marshall back is such a massive positive but have to mention Carlisle's game. He's not much of a ruckman but knows how to use his body and really made ...
