Re: Zebras are happy
Sandy weren't too happy that Lee was sent off for early surgery. Neither was Lee. If he doesn't want to be an AFL player then we should delist him now. St Kilda pay his wages, he needs to do what's best for the club. And I would think surgery is also best for him unless he is delisted. That's the t...

Re: Saints in for Aish
I prefer outside mids like Aish and Bennell. Crouch I wanted when he was drafted but now we are over stocked with insiders. Agree. But I am not sure Aish is the kind of pacey outsider we need either. He seems more of a solid neat player . We need a line breaker like Bennell or Stevey Motlop... Agre...

Re: Team v Swans
I don't like the dropping of Membrey. I see him as a big part of our future and needing some settled time in the seniors.
I also completely don't understand the selection of Simpkin. Surely it isn't just consolation for a year of VFL? Does it mean he's still in the mix for next year?
Odd

Billings, Goddard, Mckenzie, Acres and Sinclair are all realistic chances for next year.

Re: Should the Essendope thread be moved to the Opposition F
All-star cast here willing to try and shut this one down, and the players I'd expect it from too. Bob, HitTheSauce and The Marchant. All we need is plugger66 and few more and we can have a proper party. All the same playrs that added little value to the E'dope thread and research into it. At least ...

Franklin and Tippett
It looks like Franklin will be back and Tippett is in rare form. Do we have the match ups? Fisher would get toweled up by both of them I reckon. Goddard deserves first crack on Tippett but Franklin will prove a real challenge. Do we need to bring Delaney in?
Thoughts.

He kept playing but once he realised the full frontal was a possibility you can see he pulled up. Gilbert should consider wearing skins if he wants to avoid that again now that he's playing as an in and under midfielder.

Thanks Adam. Together with Milne we had one of the best small forward brigade in the league.

Re: Dunstan
The obsession on this forum over 'leg speed' is absolutely misplaced. The speedy mids are the exceptions NOT the rule. I could rattle off a very long list of the competition's best midfielders who are all clearly not speedy players. Luke has neat skills, excellent contested footy ability, game smar...

Re: Thanks Faz!
Murdoch is not in the same boat as Saunders, Siposs, White et al. He's had a very unlucky run. Regularly suffering from minor injuries that break his momentum, then performing well in the VFL, then playing sub where it's almost impossible to impress. This has continued his whole career. I think Murd...

He's the most likely third tall forward we've had since Hamill. And we tried quite a few since (Gamble, Charlie Gardiner, Maister et al).

Re: Postitives and Negatives v Cats
Positives:
Played bloody well with a very young team and were missing heaps of quality (present and future) - Armitage, Billings, Dempster, Roberton, Mckenzie, Lonie, Sinclair, Paddy, Acres, Wright, pick 5.

Richardson spoke of the possibility of us bringing in Jetta. I didn't hear the interview so it would be interesting to know if Richo was just responding to a question or actually offered up the information willingly. Anyway, Jetta certainly wasn't on my radar but he is a top notch speedster and, as ...

Re: 2016 Will Be Worse Than 2015
In theory you're right but this year has proven once again that it's impossible to predict. You think Bulldogs fans thought they'd be on top of all the teams that they are now? But, I do think that we need to bring in a few ready made starting 18 players to make sure we don't go backward in the next...

unless traded I would say Lee will be on our list next year ....... we wont delist him Agree, the timing of his surgery all but confirms that he's safe. Or put another way, for Tom to miss out on the chance of winning a VFL flag in order to be ready for preseason only to be delisted would be very c...
