Why?

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Dogs 2019

Paddy is Kosy Mach II - clumsy - brave but stupid. Talented but feels the pressure. I fear he’ll be another case of a potential star who never reaches his potential . I’ve always been behind Paddy, but I’m getting to the point where I think we should cut our losses. He’s too hard to keep on the par...

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Dogs 2019

Many positives. One thing I like in particular is that all last year the first action of many of our players was to look backwards when getting the ball. Now there is little of that. The emphasis is mainly to move it forward. We have a lot less backwards kicking and even switching as a result. As t...

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Dogs 2019

The transition from defence remains a big problem. Unless we can slingshot it, which the Bulldogs shut down after quarter time, we have no Plan B. We get all panicky, and if we don't cough it up with short, risky chip kicks - we just kick it down the line. Which, of course, just gets shutdown. It's ...

I've posted about it last year.

He arrives at the fall of the ball too early. Leaves himself under it as a result, which makes it far easier to spoil.

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Dogs 2019

Kicking long and high to a stationary Lonie is truly frustrating to watch. We had McCartin, Sinclair and Lonie deep.... McCartin leads to the pocket and is ignored (to be fair he went too early), and we go long to Sinclair and Lonie in 2 on 2 aerial contest. I'm sure Ratten will address that. Happe...

Re: Screw you Doom and Gloom - let the games begin

We averaged over 40K to all our games and also for all our home games in three consecutive years - 2008, 2009 and 2010 (including finals). You have to include finals because that is the main aim. That is the ultimate target for the footy club to prosper and grow Interestingly... we also averaged ov...

My dad passed away in 2009 before the Grand Final. Like many of us, as a supporter and sponsor, he dedicated lots of time and money to his greatest love outside of the family, the Saints. Richmond's huge membership growth momentum started before they won a premiership. The fact that their admin and board are so smart gives...
