who has a 'plan B'? nobody has a 'plan B' the reasons why plan A don't work are things like skill execution, pressure and tackling, talk and etc... all are things that a) won't change in a 'plan B' and b) would cause plan B to fail as well there is no magic button, no easy switch...if your plan A i...

Re: Harsh realities...
with great sadness i agree with you about harvs and thommo
however i still think fraser has something to offer and would benefit from a more attacking game plan. he's only 31 or 32 isn't he?
as for hammer, give him one more shot at it. one more injury and its curtains

i genuinely thought we'd be a contender, especially given what i now know to be our very good run with injury in the second part of the season after all, we were told that GT couldn't coach a pig to be dirty and anyone could coach our list to the finals etc, etc. i'm very disappointed by what i've s...

it is nearly impossible to play well with all the running away from the forward line we do. i noticed in the last quarter there was one time where there was no-one at home except for milne he was left to contest a high floating ball against two bigger opponents ... not exactly his forte more of the...

Put Goose at CHF? He's had two shots on goal this year. One was smothered by the man on the mark, and the other was lucky to stay in the stadium.. well for instance when roo was being well-held and comfortably beaten in the second half last week perhaps goose could have broken the logjam by grabbin...

Re: try something different
well if you listen to some of the apologists for RL around here you will learn that they are no longer the creative players that they were ... they've somehow lost their talent in 12 months. spin doctoring bullsh*tn1ck wrote:disappointing given the creative players we have at our disposal.

Re: try something different
i hear RL saying "modern footy is all about match-ups".
well how about making them match up on us for a change.
take some chances before the season is over and give us something to hope for through the off-season

Would I rather win games in an unentertaining way? Sure thing. so would i and winning is the bottom line. but is what we are serving up really the way forward? i think we have shown in the recent past ... and geelong is showing this year ... that there are other ways to win games this ultra-defensi...

this was also a criticism of our previous coach, but when things aren't going our way we don't seem to have a plan b. what would be wrong with giving goose a run at chf when roo is being blanketed. chuck roo at chb and see if it doesn't shake things up a bit. OR throw goose in the ruck for a while a...

On the Crowmo board on Bigfooty(2008 puzzle) the talk there is Kosi. might be goose. maybe they remember how he can play and not what we've seen in 2007 since his return from injury. i hope it is not. i hope it's not kosi or fisher either. all are very valuable required players integral to our futu...

good luck to them if they win it. they seem to have learned a lot from the beltings we gave them in recent history and are now playing the sort of risk-taking, barnstorming football that deserves to, and often does, win premierships they stuck to their guns and suddenly it has all clicked into place...

From those members/fans I have spoken to there is almost a unanimous feeling - we hate the way we are playing and we would love to be in Geelong's position (on top of the ladder) isn't the way we are playing directly linked to the coach? anyway, as to your question on the percentage who think the c...

Re: Sheahan: Saints goal-starved - Herald-Sun Article
of course the club's not going to admit it has made a mistake. i'd never expect them to. takes a big man to admit you are wrong, especially on decisions of this magnitute but our ladder position and general ineptitude this season suggests otherwise ... also the fact that we'll probably not be in the...

Re: Sheahan: Saints goal-starved - Herald-Sun Article
RL places too much emphasis on "accountability" and not enough on putting a score on the board.
half the time our blokes are more worried about where their opponent is than getting the ball and kicking a goal
it is becoming increasingly clear that the club erred gravely by sacking GT

Re: Honest opinions
Robert Harvey, yes. sadly next season would be one too many Andrew Thompson, gone Matthew Clarke, gone Fraser Gehrig no, but needs to find some inspiration. would benefit from a more attacking and more direct gameplan Aaron Hamill. see what a proper pre-season brings. one more serious injury and it'...

And I don't believe him when he says that he wants to play attacking footy... you can't play attacking footy with your whole team behind the ball. yeah. where the hell was our forward line when the match was there to be won in the last quarter? at one stage we were kicking long bombs to stephen mil...
