Re: Jimmy and John and 'that' day...

Vaguely remember McKenna being 'knocked out', but when his head hit the ground.
He jumped on pluggers back with plugger then throwing his arm back to get him off.
Plugger was on fire at the time - lost momentum (fitness) on his 4 week holiday!

Re: Dal Update Sep 20

Agree totally on the few posts above - can't keep selling the family jewels (NDS in this case).....we need skill while retaining some experience and he provides both. Fisher as mentioned can be covered with what we have or can garnish from trades and will be superseeded by the end of 2014 anyway. Wh...

Re: Surely we can get a forward off GWS

I can't see GWS trading any of their forwards this year, even with / if Buddy arrives. Patton - out with a knee until whenever....will take a little while (2015) to get up and going. Boyd, while a big unit by all reports, will take time before he hits his straps, a la Tom Hawkins. So they have Camer...

Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher

Dempster , Full Back, Roberton Gwilt , Fisher , Geary That's the thing, we have to get games into Wright, Webster, Markworth, Siposs, Dunell etc next year… so in reality we probably only need 3 or 4 of Fisher/Dempster/Gwilt/Ray/Gilbert/Simpkin… I think Roberton & Geary are locks from an age/qua...

Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher

. Fisher is probably our most important player when he's going. We either have short memories or are just not very smart. If Bains and Elshaugh did that deal they should be sacked on the spot. . We all know that he is is good. Very good, and indeed that is why he has trade currency. However Fisher ...

Will have to involve a player also I'd think....if it was only a 3rd or 4th round selection
I would baulk at the trade.

Yes big news - our list could/will look different next year.
I know you support the club but I'm lukewarm on whether I want our stars
traded out to regenerate the list....

Heard a few weeks ago we are looking at Dayle Garlett....was also mentioned that 'we' were interested in the Carlton Garlett - I'd say that is highly unlikely as
Betts looks to be on the move and Yarran is also possibly on the move...

Re: The Mickey Shithouse Fantasy Ladder

Did anyone hear his press conference today? Apparently the Carlton list just isn't up to the game plan, which he brought over unchanged from collingwood... So he had to adapt it to the s*** list he has at his disposal. So a guy getting millions per year, doesn't assess the list before building and ...

3-4 years time for a stand-alone VFL team I'm told....about 1/2 the time of our 8 year re-build !!!

As we'd all understand, funds are the issue. Re do Moorabbin, get it up and going and then start to move towards our stand alone team.

Sounds good - not sure where the $$$ come from though!

I still remember when Tudor arrived from Geelong as an assistant he couldn't believe we didn't have a kicking coach. It is fair to say the while the Cats have Stephen Wells as their head recruiter who quite obviously is very good at what he does, it is also what happens to the players once in the Ca...

Re: Why is everyone playing 'injured'?

Sam Fisher looked like he didn't want to kick the ball today. Looking for a handball option almost every time he got the ball. Some say foot, some say groin. Whichever it is, he's doing it tough !! His foot is the issue and requires pain killers to play....not sure why he is even playing - perhaps ...

Saints were $4.25 yesterday to win 1- 39pts. Good 'value' I think.

Why wouldnt he be match fit? Lee is as ready made a recruit as youll hope to get. He's 22 and never played an AFL game. When we recruited Charlie Gardiner he was 25 and had played 51 games, so he was even more readymade. He only played 12 games in his one season with us. Yeah that had nothing to wi...

I'm taking a stand: Perovic is IN til I can be disproved. I was wrong and so were others saying he was a left footer. 100% right footer. He is out. Luckily we got Locket, Hayes and Packham. Greg Packham - number 39 from Ballarat....red-headed rover, small forward - gee that's a blast form the past...
